and I agreed to a friendly grudge race at .festival since we’ve never raced each other before. Both cars are equipped with custom 58mm turbos so we knew it would be a close race. I got out ahead and Luna’s car bogged at the launch, but she stayed on me the entire time and I won by a hair. It was a close race and Luna says her car wasn’t turned all the way up so…

Who wants to see a rematch at ? 😈

A week later and I’m still buzzing (which means the post-race depression will set in soon 🥲). GTRs, friends from all over the country, drag racing, drifting, kangaroos - what more could you ask for?

I competed in the DCT Street class and ended up qualifying in the 8th spot of Elite 8. I was knocked out first round, but my car ran consistent 8.0s the entire weekend and drove onto the trailer after so I couldn’t be happier. I also got to line up with for a friendly grudge race. I’ll post that video soon!

One thing I really love about this event is that everyone is just there to hang out and have a good time, so the competition isn’t intense and the energy is super relaxed. It’s become my favorite event to attend and each year just gets better and better. Next year’s dates have already been confirmed, Nov 13-15, so mark your calendars and hope to see you there 🖤

.festival DCT Street Elite 8 - E1
I went up against in his MONSTER built R8 so my only chance was to get out ahead as quickly as possible. I did all I could but he chased me down FAST and got the win. But it was a hell of a good race and I always love when I get to line up with a friend. He ended up taking the class win, so big congrats to him and the T1 team! 👏🏽

I’m still in awe at whatever tuning sorcery does because my car is insanely consistent every pass. With the roll cage, my car now weighs over 4100 lbs so I’m about to put my car on a serious diet for TX2k and shoot for consistent sub-8s.

The car took me for a RIDE. As soon as 2nd gear hit the car veered right, but it didn’t feel out of control so I stayed in it and managed to correct it. I’m running 5870s and they are completely maxed out and working as hard as they can to get my 4100 lb car down the track. We’re heading into eliminations this morning and I’m hoping to see a 7 before end of the day!

.festival day 2 🏁
Pet some kangaroos and ran some qualifiers with a best of 8.05 at 173. The car got SUPER squirrelly on my last run but I held on till the end 😂 I decided to skip Q3 and save the car for eliminations. E1 was supposed to be tonight but got moved to tomorrow. I’m honestly happy to call it an early night and get some rest. See you in the morning!
