Starting Thursday, November 13, Building Solutions will close the southbound west lane at the intersection of 14th Avenue and Hennessey Street, as shown on the map below. During this time, the southbound traffic in this area will be reduced to one lane. This section of 14th Avenue is expected to reopen on Monday, November 17.

As you travel through the construction zone, please stay alert for construction equipment, loose or shifting soil, freshly placed concrete, tar sealant, and other potential hazards. Be mindful of your surroundings and follow all posted traffic control measures to ensure the safety of both motorists and construction crews. If you notice any unsafe conditions or issues that require attention, please contact Building Solutions at (620) 225-1199. Thank you for your patience and cooperation during this project.

A partir del Jueves 13 de Noviembre, Building Solutions cerrará el carril oeste en dirección sur en la intersección de la Avenida 14 y la Calle Hennessey, como se muestra en el mapa a continuación. Veterans and Active Military Admitted Free to Sectional Football Games



TOPEKA, Kan. – Active military, veterans, and one guest are invited to watch Kansas student-athletes participating in playoff football this week at no charge. For the third year, the Kansas State High School Activities Association is pleased to provide complimentary admission to all Sectional Championship football games to be played on November 13th and 14th.



Any active military or veteran and one guest will be admitted free of charge, simply by showing their driver’s license, which has a seal indicating the person is a veteran and signifying service. If the individual has not renewed their license in the last couple of years, a veteran ID card or any proof of identification is acceptable.



Sectional football may take place either Thursday or Friday based on facility availability. Host schools may also honor veterans/active military in other ways on gameday.
