Betrayal from the people we work for is one of the deepest wounds a person can feel. We show up every day, not just to earn a paycheck, but to give a part of ourselves our time, our energy, and our hearts. We stay loyal, push through challenges, and sometimes even sacrifice pieces of our own lives just to keep things going. And yet, despite all of that, there are moments when those very people turn their backs on us. It’s not just a professional disappointment it’s a personal heartbreak. Because it’s not only the work that gets dismissed, it’s the trust we built, the dedication we gave, and the faith we had in their character. That kind of betrayal stays with you.
