Just a bump to let folks know that the Alabama Geocachers Association (AGA) forum DixieCachers.com is still alive!
The forum doesn't get much participation since the advent of our page, but I keep it running for those of us who prefer forums.
Lots of folks keep an eye on it even though we don't much post there unless replying to a new post. The page gets several posts a day, the forum hasn't had one in weeks. I still prefer forums, but Facebook seems to be the more popular thing these days. Still, enough of us watch the forum that a post should get replies within hours, if not minutes.
http://www.DixieCachers.com/ has 1511 members statewide and Alabama geocachers have quite a lot of events and caching get-togethers. Between this page and the forum you will find a great and active community.
Watch the calender on geocaching.com www.geocaching.com/calendar/ for scheduled events.
The AGA and DixieCachers.com, like all geocaching groups, is free and open to any geocacher, with the AGA having a focus of course on Alabama caching.
