Lowrider Flyer Taps Out

It is with mixed emotion that we announce the hibernation of the sale of Lowrider Flyer Products. We have had a great time over the past 5 years building wagon frames and accessories, however due to the cost of materials vs. market price point we have decided to cease our sales at this time. All orders that are in process will be shipped as on time as promised. We thank you for your support over these past years and wish you the best in your wagon building endeavors.

Rats Right! Its Build Off Time!
We at Lowrider Flyer are happy to pledge our sponsorship along with Ratrod Rat Rod Magazine for the J & A Garage Custom Wagons 2017 Ratrod Wagon Build Off! Whether you are a half man/half machine fabrication cyborg or just a dude in the garage with a crescent wrench and a whole load of imagination, there is a completion level for you. Categories include Stock Tub, Open (Ratrod), Open (Not a Rat) and Invitation. Submissions will be accepted between Nov 1st-19th, 2017. Top 3 of each category will get to see their creation gracing the immortal pages of Magazine and a Bitchin’ Trophy. That peeps, is a whole lotta bragging rights.
So, it’s time to heat up those Welders, Wheels, Wrenches, and Saws, and get to Boltin’, Fabbin’, Cuttin’ and Cussin’. It’s Build Off Time!

Full set of Official Rules:

J&A GARAGE
2017 RATROD WAGON BUILD OFF

CLASSES

Stock Tub
No permanent alterations to the wagon pan. A stock, production wagon pan must be used in its original configuration.
Limited bolt-on accessories such as shifters, side rails, exhaust pipes, steering wheels and such are allowed. Pans may not be cut or welded. Pans that have been restored to original glory are allowed.
Open Class Ratrod
Keep a Ratrod theme in mind.
Open Class (Not-A-Rat)
(Not-A-Rat) Anything goes.
Invitational Class
By Invitation only. Anything goes.

RULES
All classes are rated by people’s choice. Picture likes count as votes. The one with the most votes wins. No vote farming. Let your wagon get its votes (likes) on its own merit. Sharing the build off post is allowed and encouraged, but any posts stating, "Come vote for my wagon" or "I need your votes" either by the entrant or your friends/relatives will be grounds for disqualification. We will simply delete your entry from the album and carry on as usual. If you're caught and your pics are pulled from the build off, it was me (Jason Bennett) that did it. Don't be that guy. Please keep this fun and enjoyable. I totally understand competitive spirit and a desire to win, just don't be a dick about it.
Previous entries will not be allowed to re-enter.
Previous builds are welcome. Whether you built your wagon specifically for this contest or you built it in 1973, doesn't matter. They are all welcome.
You must be the builder of the wagon to enter. If you bought a kit or a custom frame and you assembled all the pieces, you built it. If you bought a full custom wagon and changed the tires.... not so much.
Wagon is a loose term in these parts. Wagon, stroller, push cart, tot rod, jalopy, ex-lawnmower, it’s all good. Strollers or wagons utilizing pedal car or fiberglass bodies are allowed.
Top three winners of each class will be featured in the pages of RATROD Magazine,

ENTRY DETAILS AND TIMELINES
Entries will be accepted starting November 1st. Email Four pictures (two build pics and 2 finished pics) to [email protected] along with your full name and location. Any pictures that contain watermarks cannot be used.
Pictures must focus on the wagon exclusively. No pictures containing babies, puppies, n**e women or stuffed ducks will be allowed.
If you are in south Texas or Florida, and been affected by Harvey or Irma and have a pic of your wagon floating, I'll add 10 votes to your score.

FUTURE
Next year (2018) we will be truer to the Ratrod theme. Only the Open Ratrod and Invitational classes will be featured in the magazine. The "Stock Tub" and "Not-A-Rat" class winners will be published online and awarded trophies. RATROD Magazine is our largest supporter and has been from day one. The build off was started as a Ratrod wagon Build off and I feel we owe it to stay true to form.
All entries are due by midnight, November 19th. Voting will start on the afternoon of November 20th and run through midnight on November 25th. Results will be posted by Noon (Texas time) on the 26th. The complaint dept. will be closed for the holidays and will reopen on July 6th 2018.
