There are some relationships that stay with you long after a training ends. St. Mary’s Episcopal School is one of those for us. Their team was with Brink on March 27, 2023, when he learned that The Covenant School, a Defend Systems client and a community where he had personal friends, had been attacked. In the hours that followed, St. Mary’s surrounded us with kindness and support during an incredibly difficult day.

Getting to return to Memphis in August and train their staff was a meaningful moment. We’re grateful for this community and their commitment to protecting the people in their care!

A few weeks ago, we had the privilege of traveling to Lynchburg to train the team at Virginia Episcopal School! This was an incredibly engaged group and a highlight of our busy summer training season.

Today, we wrapped up a week of travel by training 300 faculty and staff at Ashtabula City Schools in Ohio! It’s been a great few days up north and an even better way to close out our busy summer training season on a high note.

Today, we had the opportunity to speak with leadership from across the University of Tennessee System and each of its campuses. Thank you to Kelly Mihalik, Brian Daniels, and President Boyd for inviting us to share our curriculum and be part of an important conversation about violent incident response on university campuses. And for our founder, Brink, a University of Tennessee, Knoxville, alum, this one was a little extra special. Go Vols!
