WOW, I absolutely love this mare! What an incredible course she tackled today. She gave me everything I asked of her and truly ate up the course!
Unfortunately, a riding error on my part toward the end of our round resulted in a hiccup and a few penalty points. As riders, we’re often our own toughest critics, and I certainly fall into that category. Looking back, I had a brief moment of complacency approaching a difficult combination, and that mistake was mine, not hers.
This sport is about continually learning, recognizing our mistakes, and developing the skills to correct them moving forward. While I’m disappointed I costed us to potentially move up 10 spots, I take absolutely nothing away from this mare in this phase. She was incredible, stepped up to the challenge, and gave me her all.
So incredibly proud of my girl, she absolutely rocked it!
