Its simple folks. The sole reason for the increase in Michigan utility rates, resulting in being the 12th highest in the country. Is the Whitmer/ Democrat green energy mandates that were passed through a Democratic controlled legislature in November 2023.
50% green by 2030 (this is right around the corner)
60% by 2035 and 100% by 2040
Put these numbers in prospective. Absolutely no fossil fuel used to create energy.
Unless you are blind. Every citizens in Michigan has noticed the massive developments of wind and solar in nearly every corner of our state.
Rate increases are not due to the recent developments of data centers. Its definitely not because of an increased effort to improve the current grid that provides energy to our homes and businesses.
Yes, there is an massive effort to improve the delivery of electricity but its not to deliver it to our homes. Its entirely to meet the required mandate.
Consumers energy and DTE blow smoke up our asses claiming the rate increases are to improve the delivery infrastructure. Its just smoke. Its to improve the infrastructure required to meet the mandate, not the infrastructure to maintain adequate energy to you and I. That infrastructure has been neglected and will continue to be neglected, until the green energy mandate is reversed.
FOLKS, DEMOCRATS DID THIS TO US. Their policies are recklessness and have cost the rate payers of Michigan thousands.
Elections due have consequences.
