AWwwwwwWWwwww, who has it in their heart to give both these poor kitties a home? They should be together after losing their humans!
POLLY is a beautiful short-haired brown tabby and white SPAYED adult. Polly is a “Hemingway cat” and is POLYDACTYL on her front paws, which means she has extra toes. She’s a big gal—almost 13 pounds. Poor Polly! Her caretakers recently passed away and she has no idea why she is in the shelter! Polly is very sweet and friendly, but is a bit timid when she meets new people. However, she bonds with new people quickly once she knows the humans are gentle and just want to love her. The quickest way to earn Polly’s confidence is to brush her—she love, love, loves being stroked and softly brushed. Polly would be an ideal choice for an adult or couple who are looking for a loving, loyal couch companion. She will do well in a calm household where she can receive consistent love and attention. Since Polly is already SPAYED, the waiting time for her to go home with you is minimal. Please use Polly's intake #AO40676 when making inquiries at the shelter. NOTE: Polly’s housemate, SUKI, (also shown) is available for adoption too. If you have room in your home and heart for TWO, adopt them both! They get along with one another and they will be your forever best friends!

SUKI is a lovely short-haired gray tabby and white SPAYED, BOBTAIL adult female. She is a big gal—just over 18 pounds—so there is a lot of kitty to love! Suki is sweet, gentle and affectionate. She would be so happy if she could have a window to gaze out of and a lap to sit on from time to time. Suki is not particularly active, but not a total couch potato either and seems to enjoy exploring her surroundings. Suki is an ideal kitty for someone who would like a nice, polite, quiet companion. Poor Suki, her former caretaker died. Now she is at the shelter just waiting patiently to once again have a person and home of her very own. Since SUKI is already SPAYED, the waiting time for her to go home with you is minimal. Please use Suki's intake #AO40675 when making inquires at the shelter. NOTE: Suki’s housemate, POLLY (also shown) is available for adoption too. If you have room in your home and heart for TWO, adopt them both!

The Amador County Fair's attendance was down during the heat of the day on Saturday but a full crowd packed the fairgrounds late into the evening. The on-site EMTs reported there were no incidences with respiratory issues. Anyone with respiratory conditions is encouraged to bring their medications with them and to take advantage of the air conditioned exhibit buildings and the many benches and rest areas in the shade gardens.

A typical performance by The Perfect Gentlemen includes marvelous melodious music mingled with masterful mirth, mischief, and merry-making. The group's versatility allows for effortless shifts between vocal styles with an air of ease, whether singing a cappella or accompanied by guitar or ukulele. Their signature piece, Salute to the 20th Century, is a humorous take on the de-evolution of music over the last century, illustrated by singing the same song in the style of Barbershop, Dixieland, Blues, Big Band, Doo-Wop, Bluegrass, Disco, Techno Punk, and Rap, complete with visuals that delights audiences of all ages time and time again.

Well I saved the best for last I do believe, Debbie Weld and her partners in crime from Santa Cruz brought in an amazing stringer to display. The two big ones weighed in at 7.18 and 8.50lbs and were all caught on rainbow power bait near the spillway. I tried to tell everyone that the fishing at Lake Amador is at its peak but the pictures do all the work for me! If you aren't out here fishing your in the wrong place, we are watching limits of HUGE Amabow's like this getting pulled out all day long!

"The History of the Calaveras County Fair & Jumping Frog Jubilee" by Bob Trinchero and Laurie Giannini

The Calaveras County Fair & Jumping Frog Jubilee is one of the longest running events in the State of California. Its earliest roots date back to 1893, held that year in Copperopolis, the fair eventually found a permanent home outside Angels Camp. In the spirit of the old movie classic "State Fair," the fair is a blend of entertainment, exhibits, livestock, arena events, great food and its signature event: the Frog Jump. This piece of Americana will have you leaping to return year after year.

Today, few events illustrate the gold rush era as well as the Calaveras County Fair & Jumping Frog Jubilee. Each May, the entire community celebrates its history and its future. The tradition of county residents showing off their best still holds true today. In 2002 the fair had more than 7000 exhibits and the junior livestock auction generated over $350,000 for the county's youth.

The Calaveras County Fair & Jumping Frog Jubilee has grown to an event with more than 35,000 attendees. It is estimated that the Calaveras County Fair generates approximately 25.5 million dollars in revenue through hotels, restaurants, retail, payroll and other related revenue throughout the community.

April is here and it is snowing at the higher elevations and raining like there is no tomorrow at the lower elevations, but believe it or not it is time for the Easter Bunny to arrive soon. Attached are 3 different Easter specials I'm making this year. The eggs are $ 2.00 each, the soap jelly beans are $ 2.00 (24) per bag. These are great for not only traveling but for the kids as well. They love washing their hands with these and each jelly bean last a long time. They also look great on a soap dish. The Easter bunny is $2.50. Each item can or can not come wrapped in cello bags, it is the same price. These items can be made up in your choice of color and scent. Great scents for kids check my list of scents at www.giftbasketsbygrandmapat.com
I'm also doing baskets that you can pick the product from the list what you would like in the basket from the web page and I will make up a basket for you. Remember all deliveries are free.
The scent of the month is moonlight path and the product of the month is whipped frosting cream. This product is thicker than my hand and body and thinner than my body butter. Both samples will be put in your next order. Thank you for the nice words on my marigold eye cream that was the sample last month along with green Irish tweed shower gel. I'm glad they were liked by many.
Last of all let us remember the reason for Easter and that Jesus died for all of us. May peace, good health and love be with all of you this Easter Season. Last orders will be accepted For Easter items only on April 11th and will be delivered on April 17th.
