“Sometimes Dead is Better”

On this Day In Horror History 1989’s Pet Sematary came out. A movie that begs the question, if you could bring a loved one back from the dead, would you? When Doctor Creeds Son dies tragically he takes matters into his owns hands but then must suffer the consequences of his own actions.

Stephen King’s inspiration for Pet Sematary came directly from events in his own life. Shortly after the King family moved into the house, King discovered his daughter’s cat dead by the side of the road, and they buried the pet in the cemetery.
