There is something incredibly special about age two that no one fully prepares you for.
The way they still need you so deeply, but are also discovering who they are.
The tiny hands reaching for yours, the mispronounced words, the belly laughs that come from absolutely nothing.
Two is learning emotions without knowing how to explain them yet.
It’s big feelings in a little body, followed by the tightest hugs like nothing ever happened.
It’s curiosity, imagination, and seeing the world for the first time through their eyes.
At two, they still fit perfectly in your arms.
They still want comfort, reassurance, and you — always you.
But they’re also starting to show their personality, their stubbornness, their sweetness, their spark.
It’s messy.
It’s loud.
It’s exhausting.
But it’s also gentle, innocent, and so incredibly pure.
Age two is magic in its own quiet, everyday way and I wish I could slow it down just a little longer.
