Going back for round two..

These are keel cooler grates on the old Army Corps of Engineers boat, “The Snell”. We spent a full day cleaning them and the running gear. We go back today to finish The Snell, and to start on the tugboat she works alongside. Hammers, scrapers, and a pressure washer will be today’s weapons of choice. Good stories, sore shoulders, and a happy customer will be today’s resolution! 🫡

Frying Pan Tower is located 32 miles off of the NC Coast. They host multiple underwater live-feed cameras that they broadcast to their loving fans. When these cameras go down, who better to call than the volunteer dive team from High Tide Dive Service?! We laid out a plan for the dive, and with a small window available between terrible surface conditions, we headed underneath the tower. We disconnected the camera, and had it hoisted out of the water by our team of topside tenders. With the camera safely back in the workshop, they can make the necessary repairs so that we can reinstall it on our next trip back! 🫡

Price is $150 per hour per diver for non-members.

Monthly starts at $4 per foot after your first cleaning.

Bi-monthly starts at $5 per foot after the first cleaning.

We also have a membership option for the customer who may want to use our services a few times per year. Membership is $199 per year. Gets you access to member pricing, which is $115 per hour per diver. After three 2 hour cleanings (within the year), the membership has paid for itself.

Zinc pricing is as follows: We charge the same for labor as whatever the retail price of the zincs are. Ex. 4 - 1.5” shaft zincs retail at $26.99 each, and labor is $26.99 each. Total would be $215.92 to change those four zincs.

DONT LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOUR BOAT!!!

Change your zinc anodes! If you don't have a diver regularly maintaining your bottom, we suggest putting eyes and hands on your zincs every few months. Remember that when your shaft anode corrodes past 80%, your propeller is about to become the anode in the circuit.

This is the result of 4 or 5 year old zincs sitting on a boat that doesn't move at all. They corroded to the point of being dust once removed. The resulting damage was that the propeller became super brittle and began to disintegrate as we cleaned it.

Simple bottom clean turned into a full zinc job and a full prop swap with the likelihood of the old props being corroded beyond repair.

This rather pricey repair could've been avoided with a few $27 zincs.

HAPPY TO ANNOUNCE that we picked up thequalifiedcaptain as a monthly customer! The Captain informed us that the last time his vessel was cleaned was on May 17th. Normally that means 3-5 hours of underwater work for a scuba diver. NOT TODAY! Today was our first experience with Hullmaxx bottom paint. After almost ten years of doing dive service work, I was thoroughly impressed with this product! 3-5 hours of work completed in ONLY TWO HOURS! 10 out of 10 on this products effectiveness. Sometimes The Qualified Captain needs a Qualified Diver! 🤜🤛
