From one side to the other! 🐾🤍🐶💩

We’ve officially taken another step in our potty-training progression! Until now, the puppies have had a smaller designated potty area right within their space. Now, their potty area is completely separate — meaning they have to wake up, recognize the need to go, leave their sleeping and play area, and intentionally make their way over to it.🙌🏼💩🐶🤍

It may look like a simple change, but it adds thought, effort, and access to the process — helping them build the early habits of seeking out the appropriate place to potty rather than simply having it right beside them.
Another little layer of independence and problem-solving for these growing babies! 🐶✨💩🤍🙌🏼 💩🤍🙌🏼

✨Let’s Explore outside of the nursery! Let’s learn that scary and new are not the same! ✨

➡️New means the puppies notice something unfamiliar and may hesitate, stare, sniff, or approach cautiously—but they’re still curious and able to recover quickly.

➡️Scary is when the experience overwhelms the puppies.Instead of curiosity, you may see trying to escape, hiding, freezing, trembling, frantic struggling, or being unable to settle.

We want them to encounter lots of safe, unfamiliar things—different surfaces, sounds, objects, people, environments, movement, crates, grooming, etc.—in manageable doses. 🙌🏼✨🤍⬅️

✨This is what calm acceptance looks like with crate training..being awake in the crate, seeing me nearby, and not frantically trying to get out. That calm acceptance is such a great skill to be building this young!🐶
✨This is different from simply getting a puppy tired enough that they fall asleep in a crate. Im teaching them that being contained is normal, safe, and doesn’t always require a reaction. ✨That matters because puppies naturally learn very quickly what makes something happen. If crying → door opens, crying can become the strategy. Instead, you want them learning calm behavior → good things happen and eventually the door opens✨

✨The goal isn’t simply confinement; it’s helping them develop the ability to settle, wait, and feel safe even when they aren’t tired.🙌🏼🐶✨🙌🏼✨🐶🙌🏼

Week 4 Puppy Culture update! 🐾🤍 The fun is really beginning! We’re building confidence through new sights, sounds, textures, toys and age-appropriate challenges. Crate introduction is going beautifully, potty habits are developing, and our little explorers are learning that new experiences = good things. So much growth happening this week! 🥹🐶
Today we had playtime with a purpose! 🐾🤍 New textures, sounds, movement, obstacles and lots of little opportunities to engage — all disguised as a really fun play session with the Puppy Play Gym. 🧸🦴🪀🪁😂🐶✨💪🏽🦴🧸🪁 🦴🧸🪁
