My purpose in doing these devotions is to learn the Word, but knowing scripture isn’t the same as being transformed by it. I’ve learned that the places I call too small or not ready are usually the places where I’m still trying to stay in control. You can’t walk fully in obedience if prayer is optional, and you can’t walk fully in your calling if partnership feels like a burden instead of a gift. Surrender and connection are where real growth begins. Skraitup!

Show up available instead of polished, and grace meets you there. Smallness exposes where I’m still holding on, and surrender opens space for God to move. Ignoring that keeps me stuck — performing instead of trusting. God dwells with the lowly and contrite, not the self-exhausting (Isaiah 57:15). Humility chosen keeps me aligned; humility delayed gets taught the hard way. If this brought clarity to how you view surrender and smallness, sit with it today and let God realign your perspective. I’ve learned the places I call too small, not enough, or not ready are usually the places where I’m still trying to stay in control. I don’t always resist God loudly — sometimes I shrink quietly, over-prepare, or try to manage outcomes in my own strength. But surrender isn’t about becoming less…it’s letting God define my value instead of my limitations. His strength is made perfect in weakness. His direction outruns my understanding. And availability beats polish every time. If this brought clarity to how you view smallness and surrender, sit with it today and let God realign your perspective. Skraitup!

Some of us don’t perform because we love pressure — we perform because we’re terrified of doors closing. But scripture cuts right through that. Ephesians 2:8–9 says we’re saved by grace, not performance. Titus 3:5 says mercy carried us, not our résumé. And Jesus in Matthew 11:28–30 invites us into rest, not nonstop proving. Pain says, “If you slow down, you’ll lose.” Performance says, “If you don’t prove yourself, you won’t be chosen.” But God says His grace is enough, and His strength shows up in our weakness. So what happens if you stop performing and let God carry the real you? Skraitup!

My purpose in doing these devotions is to learn the Word, but knowing verses isn’t the same as entering the Kingdom — transformation is. Jesus said the rich struggle to enter because pride, comfort, and control get in the way. And He said we must receive the Kingdom with a childlike heart — humble, teachable, surrendered. That’s why today’s verse hit so hard. John 5:39–40 warns us that you can study scripture diligently and still refuse to come to Jesus for life. The Word isn’t a flex; it’s a pathway. Scripture isn’t a trophy; it’s a witness. If it’s not shaping my attitude, my obedience, my patience, my pride… then I’m reading it but not receiving it. The goal isn’t to sound deep — it’s to be changed. Skraitup!

Who might be standing today because you prayed when no one saw it?

You can’t walk fully in obedience if you treat prayer like an option. James 5:16 reminds us that the prayers of the righteous are powerful and effective — not loud, not performative, but faithful. And scripture proves it. In 1 Samuel 19:23–24, Saul walked in one way and left another because the Spirit of God met him, not because anyone argued with him. That’s what prayer does. I pray in the good, the bad, and the uncertain, because I know I’m standing on the prayers of those who came before me. If this word moves you, share it — someone else might feel covered too. Good day saints. My verse of the day is coming from James 5:16 and 1 Samuel 19:23–24.

You can’t judge a rebuilding quarterback without context. Sunday’s win dropped Cleveland from pick 3 to pick 6 and shifted the entire draft landscape, but it also highlighted something real — Shedeur Sanders is progressing in live fire. Accuracy, toughness, pocket movement, growth under pressure… all trending up while the roster around him is still forming. So do you develop what’s already showing real traits, or chase the draft board just to start over? Skraitup!

Here’s our full ranking of the Crumbl national flavors for December 29 through January 3, based on our at-home taste test and real reactions. Some surprised us, some missed, and one clearly stood out. Curious how your list compares.

Unchecked strength is dangerous because strength without submission lies to you. What feels like momentum can quietly turn into entitlement if humility isn’t practiced daily. Grace cancels the debt, but humility keeps you grounded. Stay humble. Stay submitted. Stay teachable. Skraitup!
