This woman shared her terrifying experience after being bitten by a venomous Brown Recluse spider that nearly killed her. The bite was so severe it had her in the hospital, with her skin literally shedding and peeling off her body. She said it made her look like a 'spider web.' Thankfully, she's recovering with a fresh layer of skin, but this is a scary reminder of how dangerous those little spiders can be.

When a crocodile grabbed her 9-year-old friend, this 11-year-old girl didn't run. She fought back.

Rebecca Juma and her friend were fetching water from Kenya's Galana River when disaster struck. A massive crocodile lunged from the water and clamped its jaws around the younger girl, trying to drag her to her death.

Most people would freeze in terror. Most adults would panic.

But not Rebecca.

Without hesitation, this brave 11-year-old JUMPED onto the crocodile's back and began forcefully poking its eyes - one of the most sensitive parts of the predator's body - while screaming for help.

Her quick thinking worked. The startled crocodile loosened its grip and released her friend. Both girls escaped with only minor injuries, but they could have easily lost their lives.

Wildlife experts say that while incredibly dangerous, attacking a crocodile's eyes can disorient the animal and provide the only chance of survival in such situations.
The community has hailed Rebecca as a hero, and rightfully so.

Nightfam, most adults wouldn't have the courage this 11-year-old showed. True heroes come in all ages.
