PODCAST: MEDICAL EXAMINER'S OFFICE UPDATE

Last week, the District One Medical Examiner's Board (DOMES) met to discuss the construction of a new, larger facility on Avalon Blvd in Santa Rosa County, a project which Escambia Commissioners Barry, May, Bergosh, and Bender have been dragging their feet on because they want to keep the operation in Sacred Heart Hospital open. Walton, Okaloosa, and Santa Rosa are now having to consider the possibility of suing Escambia in order to force them to cooperate in funding this facility for the Medical Examiner who serves all four counties. As you might expect, there was some drama in the meeting, and this morning I discussed the project and explained why the single-facility option is the much better one.

“I am sure Commissioner Calkins, like many parents of small children in our country, feels that the Democrat platform has regrettably become corrupted, prurient and evil.

I do not know Ms. Alford and have no opinion as to her character or qualification for this Board, however I often encourage Republicans to step up and apply for local governmental boards so that our religious tenets and constitutional conservative values
