Midwest March For Life began in 2010 and hosts the annual march and rally for all pro-life Missourians and surrounding states at our state capital in Jefferson City. Supreme Court decision legalizing abortion in our nation. It witnesses to the right to life of all unborn children in our state and our nation. It is an opportunity to call upon our state government officials and courts to respect the

right to life of all God's People from the moment of conception, to pray for an end to abortion in our state and nation, and to encourage one another to remain strong in our pro-life work during the coming year!

PILGRIMAGE TO VISIT FR. TOLTON SITES September 24th, St. Andrew is taking a Pilgrimage bus trip to Brush Creek, MO and Quincy IL. Flyer and registration in the gathering space. All registration due by September 7th. The cost is $40 plus your lunch. The bus only holds 56 people, so get your registration in soon! Join us for the day. All the details on flyer.

Fr. Augustus Tolton is a native of our diocese who is on the path to Sainthood in the Catholic Church. He is currently referred to as, "Venerable Fr. Augustus Tolton," a title given to those whom the Church has determined, "lived a life of heroic virtue." Fr. Tolton was born a slave. His family escaped to Illinois and he eventually entered the seminary, attending St. Francis College and the Collegium Urbanum de Propaganda Fide in Rome. He was ordained a priest in 1886, becoming the first African-American priest to serve in the United States. Our Parish Worship and Spiritual Development Commission will be sponsoring a pilgrimage to two sites significant to to Fr. Tolton - St. Peter Church in Brush Creek, where Fr. Tolton was baptized, and St. Peter Cemetery in Quincy, Illinois, where Fr. Tolton is buried. The trip will also include a tour of St. Francis Solanus Church in Quincy, and lunch in Quincy. St. Peter Church in Brush Creek is one of the five sites in our diocese designated as pilgrimage sites for the Jubilee Year of Hope. Please see the details in this bulletin. I hope you can join us

In 2026, a new Amendment 3 will appear on the ballot—but it’s not the same as before. Same name, very different purpose. Knowing the difference could save lives.

MidWest March for Life is an organization which hosts the annual march and rally for all pro-life friends around the Midwest USA at the Missouri state capital in Jefferson City to mark the tragic January 22, 1973 U.S. Supreme Court decision legalizing abortion in our nation and to witness to the right to life of all unborn children in our state and our nation all the while honoring and glorifying Jesus Christ. It is an opportunity to call upon our state government officials and courts to respect the right to life of all God's People from the moment of conception, to pray for an end to abortion in our state and nation, and to encourage one another to remain strong in our pro-life work during the coming year!
