Your "Finding VO Work" zoominar" was beyond terrific. You really know your stuff!!
I meant to post this earlier but with the holidays everything got forgotten. I had some very old cassette tapes of my son when he was about 10/12 years old. About 25 years ago. I happened to find them a few weeks before Christmas and thought it would be a great Christmas present for my son to have them made into DVD's. So I got in touch with Nick. In about a week I had the DVD's and a great surprise for my son! The family had many laughs on Christmas Eve watching them. Especially his nephews! Great job Nick! Thanks so much! If you have transfers to be done...get in touch with Nick!
After an extensive search for a VO coach, I was lucky to find Nick. I was just getting into VO and he was the perfect blend of coach and sound engineer. With his amazing direction and patience, he gave me the confidence to get out there on my own. Nick also cut my first demo. It was fun and informative. At the end of it all, I had a new colleague and friend. Thanks, Nick!
Bucket List Check Off: I got to have an awesome conversation with Neil degrasse Tyson this morning while producing a podcast interview with him. He said that he likes my voice over style, which meant the world to me! Interview coming soon...
Hi Everyone: This is my very first post. Iâm new to the Voice Over industry and I want to give the worldâs LOUDEST shout out to fellow member, Nick Ciavatta! Thanks to Nickâs Voice Over coaching and demo production, I was able to fine tune my approach and put together a booth and home studio. Iâm very excited for the next chapter in my life! Nick came to my house twice, and helped me set up my studio and get âthe right sound.â He didnât stop until we reached âaudio perfection.â I highly recommend Nick for Voice Overs, Voice Over Coaching and VO Demo Production!
It's live!!! Give it a listen & let me know what you think! If you like me or what I do, that's one of the best ways to show support nowadays, listening & saving it to your playlist(s), & sharing it. This is the culmination of over a year of work / effort from everyone involved. From writing it, to recording it in my tiny apartment, goin to Michael Glanzer's up in the BX to record the percussion, to getting Justin Lawrence to record his violin part in North Carolina (with his laptop mic, which he placed in a cardboard box), and emailing it to me, to mixing it in my free NYC Health + Hospitals hotel room that I got when I got diagnosed with the covid, to sending it to my producer/engineer friends for their advice on the mix (thank you James Coyle, Eric Wilson Harris, & Kyle Hazelton), to having Elizabeth Portilla Flores shoot the music video, to editing the music video on her iPad, to getting it mastered by Nicholas Ciavatta / Friggin Fabulous Productions. It brings me great joy to finally share these tracks with you. Please share them with anyone you think it would resonate with; anyone you think would be remotely interested. Use the sound for your own video, make a crazy dance challenge, make it go viral, however I can spread this message to as many people as possible, that'd be dope, cause I feel like people need to hear this right now (how conceited, I know), and if it makes just one person's day / life better, I'd consider it a success. Listening / saving / sharing today is key for algorithmic growth (yo just leave it on repeat when you go to sleep or some s**t), and feel free to visit my bandcamp (jamesmargolis.bandcamp.com) if you wanna purchase a digital download. Thank you so much for being part of this journey, I really do appreciate you. Hopefully an album will not be far behind, this is not the end of the journey, quite the opposite really. I appreciate you reading this, and/or listening, presaving, & preordering, youâre helping me / my music / showing mad support, which is huge for artists. Now check out the music video when it premieres at 7pm (EST)!!! (

Thanks so much to Nicholas Ciavatta of Friggin Fabulous Productions for digitizing my albums. They've been stuck in the basement for years. I have found digital versions of many, but there are some you just can't get any more! I gave Nick 33 records to digitize (an appropriate number!) and he got it done in a couple of weeks. WAV and MP3's. Clean sound, perfect levels. The records were mostly in good condition, but a few crackles here and there really add to my experience. Plus listening to album sides again? Feels so good!
Big thanks to Nick for mastering this release, all proceeds going to St. Jude's
The voiceover workshops and lessons I had with Nicholas Ciavatta were so very much better than some other experiences I had over the years. I came out of the lessons feeling like I finally had a grasp of what was expected and how to go about doing it. and he's a great guy beyond his most considerable expertise. Nick the THE ONE to go to!
Woah! Sound, lights and equipment were top notch at Friggin Fabulous Productions tonight at FM in ! Here's a pic of Nick hard at work!
Voiceover lessons review: Nick was a great voiceover coach. He taught me the art (and it IS an art) of voice characterization, how to speak clearly, how to use the microphone properly and the use of different tonality for different types of projects. The sessions were fun and engaging and he was always extremely attentive, gently correcting and asking me to try a section over when necessary. I learned a lot about voiceover technique and the business from Nick and I would highly recommend him if you are interested in voiceovers. He also helped me create an excellent demo, and he is a wonderful singer- songwriter and musician as well.
Most of all, if you want to communicate, Nick can really help you. Bob
