RIP Jahseh Onfroy . X shared a message with us if he ever passed away. "'Do not let your depression make you.’ - 'You're mind is limitless, you are worth more than you can believe'". Regardless of his controversial past, he did not deserve to die, especially so young. We do not like to define people only by the worst things they have ever done.

Kanye West released his album, YE, during a live-streamed listening party in Jackson Hole, Wyoming last night. The album’s artwork features a photograph of Wyoming Teton mountains along with the text, “I hate being Bi-Polar. it’s awesome.” He took the photo on his iPhone.

At just 23 minutes, it not only feels like Kanye’s shortest album (it’s about half the length of Yeezus) but his slightest. It’s still too early to make a qualitative judgment, on an album like this after a matter of hours. Although it’s hard to think of another major rap album that exposes and dwells upon its star’s struggles with mental illness to this extent. You might hesitate to say that Ghost Town sounds like the work of a mind in the process of unraveling – the ongoing speculation about the state of West’s mental health is lurid and unsavory.

West angrily brushes away other people’s concerns and offers of support, but then discusses his despairing thoughts of su***de and depressive “bad days” in starkly affecting terms: “Screamed so loud got no lungs, hurt so bad I go numb”. Then he brags about it, which feels like a very Kanye response to being diagnosed with a psychiatric disorder: “That’s my bipolar s**t … that’s my superpower … I’m a superhero! I’m a superhero!”

On ‘KOD’, J. Cole Speaks to the Generation that Spurned Him
.
About a year ago, just as the SoundCloud rap ecosystem was beginning to erupt into broader consciousness, some of its most agitated and popular figures — including Lil Pump and ###Tentacion — began screaming, in unprintable language, that the older and more measured rapper J. Cole should kiss off.

“KOD,” his fifth album has the feel of a casual placeholder between bigger ideas.
.
The characters in J. Cole’s stories tend to be under immense pressure. From the hormonal deluges of songs like “Wet Dreamz” and “Lights Please” to the crippling grief of “Be Free” and “4 Your Eyez Only,” his subjects move under intense strain.
.
Drugs are sometimes the problem here, but Mr. Cole is wrestling with a wide range of temptations. “Photograph” is about social-media infatuation and features some of the puppy-dog pleading that he’s previously deployed. But Mr. Cole is always most entrancing at his most personal, and those songs feel delivered through a filter.
.
The devastating “Once an Addict (Interlude)” is the opposite, though — chillingly detailed, emotionally scarred. It’s seemingly about his mother, her battle with addiction and how it affected him as a younger man.
.
J. Cole’s insistence that rappers are a particularly vulnerable population feels strange. He’s either entirely oblivious to a large swath of the rap community or arrogantly talking over it.

Avicii struggled with fame and had stepped away from the limelight. Although he retired from touring in 2016 for health reasons, Avicii never stopped making music. His second full-length studio album, “Stories,” came out in the fall of 2015 and featured hits “Broken Arrows” and “Waiting for Love.” In 2017, he released a new 6-track EP, “Avīci”.

“We all reach a point in our lives and careers where we understand what matters most to us. For me, it's creating music. That is what I live for, what I feel I was born to do. Last year I quit performing live, and many of you thought that was it, Instead, I went back to the place where it all made sense – the studio. Casey Neistat is Launching A YouTube Factory For Creators

Casey Neistat is one of the most influential and recognizable creators on YouTube and today he announced that he’s using his old studio space, which originally operated as the headquarters of his app-turned-CNN-partnered-news-program, Beme, and turning it into a collaborative 'Factory' working area for YouTubers.

The company and space is called 368, and the idea is to bring creators together, many of which Neistat knows personally and who he’s helped grow their own channels, and start collaborating together.
•
Look at the Los Angeles YouTube scene. Team 10 and Clout Gang are just two of the vlogger groups who have built a lucrative career and lifestyle collaborating with each other.

“The idea was this: In New York City, I would find a gigantic space,” Neistat says. “A space that I could turn into a factory or gigantic studio — a space that was huge. A space that invited collaboration; a space that I could invite all of my friends to come work and make videos and do stuff in with me.

Neistat’s first new vlog as part of his company 368 will premiere on YouTube on Friday, April 6 at 8 a.m. ET.
