ESPN's College Gameday is coming to Iowa City for the Ohio State vs. Iowa game on Saturday. The Network always selects a celebrity guest picker to join them on set. Could Hawkeye men's basketball coach Ben McCollum be that person?

Maybe, maybe not. We'll ask Coach McCollum when he joins us at 7:30. Practice has started for the Hawkeyes, and the expectations are higher than ever after last year's Elite 8 Run.

Also, we are talking football as the Hawks continue to prep for Ohio State, and Iowa State is at home against West Virginia.

Former Minnesota Vikings first-round pick J.J. McCarthy has been traded to the New York Giants. McCarthy started 10 games for Minnesota in a career marked by injuries.

The Giants will give Minnesota a fifth-round pick in the 2027 draft, showing how much McCarthy's value has dropped.

Right now, McCarthy is a major bust. But he's only 23, which means the Giants could be a lifeline for his career. The Giants need quarterback help after Jaxson Dart was injured and is out for the rest of the season. Jameis Winston is currently starting for New York.
