🔥 Smoke N for the Kids — Day 2 Recap! 🔥

Another awesome day of BBQ in Troy, Illinois! We finished the day with:

🐷 8th Place Ribs
🏆 3rd Place Overall — technically, we tied for 2nd and lost the coin toss! 😂 Looks like I need to add coin tosses to the practice schedule!

What a weekend at Michiana Barbecue Series Smokin Downtown in Warsaw, Indiana!

Always a fun contest and even better getting to catch up with friends from the BBQ family. We were fortunate enough to hear our name called a few times:

🥇 1st Place Chicken
🥈 2nd Place Ribs
🏆 Grand Champion

The cherry on top was earning an invitation to the World Chicken Finals next year in Lebanon, Tennessee. We can’t wait!

One funny moment… after our last turn-in, I walked back to the trailer, and Apple Music decided it was the perfect time to play “Take It Easy.” I just laughed and said, “Maybe Dan’s sending us a little good Take It Easy BBQ juju today.” I’d say it worked out pretty well.

Congratulations to VanHoozen on Reserve Grand Champion (and happy birthday), and congrats to everyone who got a call. Looking forward to seeing everyone down the road!

We had a great time over the weekend at the Great River Threshers 🔥 It was a hot weekend, and Day 1 was definitely our better day.

Day 1 Results:
🏅 10th Place – Sausage
🥉 3rd Place – Chicken
🥈 2nd Place – Ribs
🏆 Reserve Grand Champion Overall!

Overall, after both days of competition, we finished 5th Place Overall, and we’re proud of how the weekend turned out.

Congratulations to Must B Smokin' Somethin' Catering and Competition Team on earning Day 1 Grand Champion, Kick Ash BBQ on earning Day 2 Grand Champion, and Weez’s Groovin’ BBQ Catering on taking home the Overall 2-Day Grand Champion! Well deserved to all of you! 👏
