A Bittersweet Goodbye 💛
Meet Steve.
I’ve had the honor of helping both his daughter and son buy and sell homes over the years—and now it was Steve’s turn. But this wasn’t just any house… this was his mom’s home, and his childhood home.
His family moved in back in 1946, and his mother still owned it at 98 years old. That’s 78 years of love, laughter, and lifelong memories under one roof.
Every time we met at the house, Steve would share another story. Playing cards in the breezeway. Sharing a room with his sister—until they added the knotty pine-paneled bedroom just for him. Sitting at the dinner table with the perfect vantage point to watch TV with his dad. It was ahead of its time with a two-car attached garage. And the kitchen? Not updated since the late 60s—but full of warmth and history.
Selling a home like this is never just a transaction—it’s saying goodbye to a lifetime of memories.
We had over 60 showings and received 8 offers. The first cash buyer backed out, but our backup buyer was thrilled to be chosen—and ended up bringing more money to the table. Sometimes, things unfold exactly as they’re meant to.
This is why I do what I do. Years ago in my 20’s, I might not have understood & appreciated the emotional weight of a sale like this. But now, in my 50s, I listen differently. I truly enjoy connecting with my clients and listening to their stories. These stories matter.
Congratulations, Steve and A big THANK YOU! It was an honor to walk beside you for such a meaningful goodbye. I’m so grateful for your support & loyalty 💛
