I was talking something through with my coach recently that I had been waffling back and forth on for a while.

I could make a case for either direction.

I had reasons.
I had doubts.
I had probably thought about it far too much.

Then she asked me one question:

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE YOUR DAUGHTER?

And it was wild how quickly the fog lifted.

I knew exactly what I would tell her.

There was no overthinking.
No guilt.
No hesitation.

Just clarity.

It made me realize how often we can get so tangled up in our own fear, responsibility, expectations, or what-ifs that we lose access to the answer we would so easily give someone we love.

So if you’re waffling on something right now, try this:

What would you tell your daughter?
Your best friend?
Someone you love deeply?

Sometimes the answer gets a lot clearer when we stop asking from inside our own fear. šŸ¤Ž

It’s amazing how much time we can spend rehearsing everything that might go wrong.

But how often do we let our mind rehearse the good things that could happen?

Here’s your invitation to overthink the good stuff too:

What if everything works out? šŸ¤Ž

For a long time, I thought thriving was something you achieved.

Like one day you’d finally arrive:
more balanced, more confident, more clear, more ā€œthere.ā€

But over time, my work in engineering, positive psychology, coaching, childbirth education, and motherhood has taught me something different.

Our lives are shaped by systems.

The thoughts we repeat.
The habits we practice.
The relationships we invest in.
The instincts we learn to trust.
The values we choose to honor.
The environments we create.

I call this framework THRIVE.

Not because life can be reduced to a neat acronym…

…but because meaningful change often happens through small shifts in the systems already shaping our everyday lives.

Over time, I’ll share more about each of these six systems and how they influence the way we live, lead, cope, heal, and grow.

My hope is simple:

That something here helps you see new possibilities in yourself — and build a life that feels more meaningful, more aligned, and more your own. šŸ¤Ž

I remember asking my mom a question during an election season when I was little:

Could there ever be someone running for president that everybody liked?

No.

She explained that no matter who someone was or what they believed, there would always be people who disagreed with them.

Because we all grow up with different experiences, different perspectives, different ways of seeing the world.

And thank goodness.

I’ve worried about what people will say about my book.

I’ve heard coaching clients worry about what others will think about their next steps.

Some people may love what you do.

Some will disagree.

Some may not like the work.

Some may not like you.

You can spend your life trying to become everyone’s cup of tea — and still never please everyone.

Katie Lee ā€˜s dad had it right:

Do your thing.
Be yourself.

Because if you can’t be everyone’s cup of tea, you might as well be true to your own. šŸ¤Ž

Beyond the Pipeline turned 1! šŸŽ‰

Getting to know and work alongside these incredible women in STEMM sparked more in me than I expected.

It helped catapult me into speaking, gave me the writing bug, and reminded me how powerful it is to see pieces of ourselves in other women’s stories.

I’m so grateful to Cassie Leonard and all of our BTP friends for the conversations, connection, and continued fun. šŸ¤Ž

And now there’s a new way to experience the book: the audio version recently dropped, which means you can actually hear these stories in the voices of the women who lived them. I love that.

Cheers to the women who came before us, the women beside us, and the women coming next. šŸ„‚

Sometimes the biggest shift isn’t changing your circumstances.

It’s believing that a different future is possible in the first place.

I’ve learned that before people make brave decisions, set new goals, or change their lives, something quieter happens.

They begin to imagine a possibility they couldn’t quite see before.

If this finds you today, maybe this is your reminder:

You’re allowed to imagine a life that feels more aligned, more meaningful, and more like your own. šŸ¤Ž

Over the past few weeks, I’ve had the privilege of speaking and coaching at work. Watching someone’s eyes light up as they begin to see new possibilities for themselves is one of the greatest gifts of the work I get to do—and something I’ll never take for granted.

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about how much pressure I put on myself to perform.

To get the kids to bed on time.
To finish the laundry.
To get my inbox to zero.
To use my PTO.
To get the 30-minute workout in.
To write the book.
To be present.

Somewhere along the way, I realized I’d set the bar so high that it was almost impossible to reach. Even on good days, it felt like I was falling short.

So this week, instead of making another to-do list, I’m choosing something different.

I’m choosing to speak to myself with a little more grace.

These are six affirmations I’m saving for myself during this busy season of life.

Maybe one of them is something you need today, too. šŸ¤Ž

Parents of 12-month-olds…

WTF is going on? 🤣

We were sleeping.
We were happy.
We were thriving.

And now we’re back to restless nights, clinging, and full-blown meltdowns over… honestly, I’m not even sure what.

Is it a leap?
Teething?
Weaning?
Illness?
A conspiracy?

Yesterday I found myself football-holding my daughter as she screamed at the top of her lungs while we walked home from a perfectly nice walk.

What’s funny is that just a few hours earlier, I had been sharing mindful mantras on social media.

And for a brief moment, I started to feel like a fraud.

Why am I sharing mindfulness tools when I’m standing here carrying a screaming toddler and wondering what fresh chaos has entered our lives?

And then I remembered:

I’m not sharing these tools because I’ve mastered them.

I’m sharing them because I need them too.

In these moments, I try to remember:

🌺 Deep breathing

🌺 Handing her to my husband so I can walk away for a few minutes

🌺 A hot bath after the kids go to bed

🌺 Reminding myself that she’s not giving me a hard time—she’s having a hard time

The goal was never perfection.

The goal was always having something to come back to when life gets messy.

What’s your favorite tip for staying calm in the moment?

Asking for a friend.

And that friend is me. šŸ¤£šŸ˜…

It was surprisingly hard to flip the page on last week’s .

These three mantras hit home:

🌺I’m entering a season of softness, freedom, and aligned abundance.
🌺 I release the need to overcomplicate life and choose ease instead.
🌺 I invite joy to meet me in the simplest moments.

As someone who naturally gravitates toward goals, growth, and achievement, these felt like a gentle reminder that life doesn’t always have to be pushed forward.

Sometimes it can be received.

Sharing these here in case they resonate with you too.

And saving them for myself—because I have a feeling I’ll need the reminder again. šŸ¤Ž

Everybody knows what a downward spiral feels like.

You hit traffic when you’re already late.
You spill coffee on your outfit.
You snap at your kids.

One frustrating moment turns into another… and suddenly the whole day feels heavy.

But what about the upward spiral?

The small moments that slowly pull you back toward gratitude, presence, and peace.

A deep breath before reacting.
A good conversation.
A workout.
Sunshine on your face.
A reminder that not everything is going wrong.

The upward spiral happens when we begin looking for glimmers instead of triggers.
When we start paying attention to what is going right too.

A while back, I asked AI to create an image of an upward spiral, but nothing quite captured the feeling.

So I reached out to our favorite babysitter-turned-incredibly-talented artist .art and shared the vision with her… and she created this. šŸ¤Ž

It now sits in my office as a daily reminder:

What we focus on grows.
And sometimes healing looks less like one giant breakthrough…
and more like slowly choosing the upward spiral.
