Bare with me. This is a hard post to write. It's taken me a couple of days.

Monday was one of those days. You get called to do a session, and you accept because it's so important. But it's also so hard. End of life sessions are one of the hardest things to shoot in my opinion, but such an honor to be a part of. This one was extra hard. Splash has been a part of our family for 20 years. She came into my sister's life when I was just 12. Although I haven't seen Splash as much over the past few years (just distance and life), I loved her too. But in reality, what made this so hard was knowing what she meant to Amy. Seeing her pain. Knowing she was doing what was best for her but hardest for herself. She was her heart horse. Anyone who's ever had a bond with an animal like that will understand what that's like.

Looking back at the photos this morning had me in tears and so heartbroken, too. I'm glad I was able to be a small part of her life and to share some of her final moments. Please keep my sister in your thoughts and prayers. It's going to be a long, rough road without her. Run free in the big pasture now, Splash. 🥺

That's a wrap for Brandon & Jessica's wedding gallery. I have to say hands down the LARGEST gallery I've ever edited/delivered. But every photo is an amazing core memory. 🥰 Thanks again for letting me capture them, and for treating me like family at the wedding. Congrats again!
