Local boards set classroom display rules inside state law. On 21 October 2025 Tullahoma City Schools, Tennessee, voted that no flag or banner other than the United States and Tennessee flags may hang in district buildings, including classrooms, unless it is an official country, state, school, higher-education or U.S. military flag used only for teaching, or it is tied to the curriculum or a sanctioned event.
FOX17 and WSMV reported the vote after public comment about a Pride flag in a classroom. A petition by former alderman Daniel Berry had asked for official flags only. Snopes later noted the policy does not name Pride flags, though that display started the debate. Coffee and Tipton counties already had similar limits.
The policy is a district rule, not a statewide statute. Students keep statutory rights. Staff must follow the adopted text after training.
Primary sources are the 21 October 2025 Tullahoma board action as reported by WSMV and FOX17, and Snopes’ July 2026 summary of the policy language.

First-cousin marriage is legal in Florida and in a minority of other U.S. states. Close-blood marriages such as sibling or parent-child unions are already barred.
House Bill 733 would have added first cousins to the banned list from 1 July. The New York Post and Action News Jax reported the measure died when the wider health bill failed in March 2026.
On 7 April 2026 Governor Ron DeSantis said Florida should ban cousin marriage, calling it a “hanging curveball” and linking it, in his words, to practices from other cultures. That is a governor’s request, not an enacted statute.
Marriage licences are issued under Chapter 741, Florida Statutes. A change requires the Legislature and the governor’s signature. Individual families decide whether to stay in a state. No statewide Muslim federation issued a departure notice in the wire coverage of that week.

Sweden has no nationwide criminal ban on face coverings in every street and shop. Some schools and workplaces have dress rules that courts have reviewed.
On 12 October 2025 Aftonbladet and SVT quoted Deputy Prime Minister Ebba Busch calling for a ban on burqa and niqab on streets, squares, shops and clinics. She said people should be able to meet face to face and that “Islam must adapt in Sweden.” She added that what people wear at home is not the state’s business. SVT noted the idea was not agreed with the other Tidö parties.
Freedom of religion is protected in the Instrument of Government. Any ban would need an Act of the Riksdag and would be tested against that chapter.

Houses of worship in the United States are protected by the First Amendment. The government may prosecute crimes inside a building. It may not padlock every mosque, church or synagogue because of the faith practiced there.
Alexander Duncan, who ran as a Republican for U.S. Senate from Texas, posted on X in 2026 that mosques are “forward operating bases to launch jihad” and that every one should be closed. Those words are on his account. They are not an Act of Congress or a Texas statute.
FBI and DHS investigate individuals and designated groups. They do not issue a blanket closure order against a religion. Zoning and fire codes apply to all buildings. They are not a religious test.
Primary sources are Duncan’s public X posts and the text of the First Amendment.

A ferry attendant stops a fully covered foot passenger at the terminal doors and asks for a visible face before the scanner. The passenger will not uncover for personal reasons. The gate stays closed under boarding rules. Fresh AI harbour clip. No sailor or belief is named in this invented crossing scene.
We need to show everyone the importance of removing face masks. Even if just one person sees this and realizes its value, it's worth it.

Disclaimer - Built AI study of a boarding-door check. Not terminal CCTV. Not a claim against any passenger group or faith. Take the speech as scripted teaching lines only.

Muslims are more than a billion people across dozens of legal systems. Belief and practice vary. Criminal violence is judged by statute, not by a cartoon.
Pew Research Center’s multi-country polls have found that most Muslims surveyed say su***de bombing and other attacks on civilians are never justified. Shares who say otherwise are a minority and differ by country. Gallup’s older World Poll found similar patterns when the question was about attacks on civilians.
U.S. law forbids threats and homicide regardless of the speaker’s faith. The FBI records hate crimes against Muslims and records plots by extremists who claim Islam. Those are case files, not a portrait of every worshipper.
A red-studio split with two invented faces is opinion art. It is not Pew’s questionnaire and not a court finding.
Primary sources are Pew Research Center reports on Muslim views of violence and U.S. criminal statutes.

A refugee, in international law, is a person who has a well-founded fear of persecution and cannot return home. That test is applied by states and by UNHCR. It is not decided by a pulpit.
Bishop Athanasius Schneider, auxiliary bishop of Astana, Kazakhstan, told interviewers in 2025 that Europe was seeing “an invasion” and “mass Islamization,” and that many people classed as refugees were not refugees in his view. RealClearPolitics posted a clip; La Nuova Bussola Quotidiana printed a longer interview.
Eurostat and national interior ministries publish asylum grants and refusals each year. Those tables are the official count. A bishop may comment on culture. He does not issue residence permits.
The Holy See’s own documents on migrants sit beside this personal view. They are separate texts.
Primary sources are Schneider’s 2025 interviews as reported by RealClearPolitics and La Nuova Bussola Quotidiana, and the 1951 Refugee Convention.

ICE is a Department of Homeland Security agency. Officers may detain people who are removable under the Immigration and Nationality Act. A person who resists can be taken to the ground. Whether that force was lawful depends on the warrant, the resistance and any body-camera or court record.
Illinois is not a federal immigration court. Local police may or may not assist, depending on city and state policy. An advocacy post about Weber Road in Romeoville in 2025 described unmarked cars and a vehicle on the grass; it did not publish a charging sheet for this image.
Status is decided by an immigration judge or by a final order, not by a meme. Citizens and lawful permanent residents are not “illegal.” A torn shirt in a still photo is not a verdict.
Primary sources are ICE’s statutory authority under the INA and contemporaneous local reporting of enforcement in Will County.

Texas civil and criminal law is made by the Legislature and applied by state and federal courts. Religious arbitration that stays inside those statutes is already limited. No Texas statute installs a second criminal code.
On 12 September 2025 Governor Greg Abbott signed House Bill 4211. The official release said the Act regulates housing developments so they cannot run discriminatory compounds or force land deals that lock buyers into a private religious rule set, and that contract disputes must be heard in Texas or U.S. courts. The bill was framed around the East Plano Islamic Center “EPIC City” proposal.
At the June 2026 Republican convention Abbott said the next session should “leave no doubt” with a further ban. That is a speech, not a chapter of the Penal Code.
The First Amendment and the Texas Constitution protect worship. They also require public law to be the same for every resident.
Primary sources are the 12 September 2025 Office of the Governor release on HB 4211 and the Houston Chronicle’s June 2026 convention report.

Italian civil marriage is set at 18. Sexual offences against children are crimes. Religious opinion does not change the Civil Code.
On 25 January 2026 Fuori dal Coro (Rete 4) broadcast an undercover talk in Brescia in which Ali Kashif, then acting as an imam, said a girl could marry from about nine. Giornale di Brescia and Corriere della Sera reported that on 2 April 2026 the Brescia police chief refused a residence permit and ordered accompaniment to Malpensa; he left for Islamabad the next afternoon.
Fact-checkers note weeks passed between the broadcast and the flight, and that the order was the questura’s under immigration law, not a documented next-day decree signed by Giorgia Meloni.
Primary sources are Giornale di Brescia and Corriere della Sera (3 April 2026), the Italian Civil Code, and Maldita.es (April 2026).
