My baby girl just turned ONE, which means weā€™re right in the middle of such an important stage of developmentā€”from conception through age 2.

As a pharmacist and mama of 3, Iā€™m intentional about what I feed my little ones, and is one of the foods Iā€™m happy to include in her everyday nutrition.

Milk is an excellent source of iodine, which is essential for healthy brain development, and dairy provides important nutrients like calcium to support growing bones and teeth.

Plus, I love knowing dairy is produced safely and responsibly, with farmers caring for their animals and the land.

Moms have to be flexible!

My husband is truly a modern-day Renaissance man, and today he gets his FLOWERS.

Picture day came around, and I wasnā€™t available to do our girlā€™s hair like I normally would. And if you know, you KNOWā€”Black girl hair is a whole thing, and Iā€™m particular about how my babies show up, especially when itā€™s picture day.

So Daddy said, ā€œSheā€™s not gonna be looking rough on my watch.ā€

He FaceTimed me, followed my directions step-by-step, took her hair down, and did it himself. And when I tell you that baby came out looking POLISHED?! Whew! He was proud of himself. She was proud. I was proud. WIN.

This man continues to show me that there is truly no limit to what a present, hands-on dad will do for his family.

So today, Iā€™m celebrating him. Because when somebody is showing up, loving hard, and doing a great jobā€”give them their flowers while they can smell them.

Drop some flowers for the good ones in your life!

Date nights may look a LOT different in this season of life.

We used to have them every week, and now weā€™re lucky to get about 6 a year. But you know what? Iā€™ve learned that quality really can be better than quantity. And when we do get that time together, I soak. It. Up.

This J. Cole concert was one of those nights that reminded me to stop focusing on what I wish I had more of and be grateful for what I DO have.

So hereā€™s your reminder: enjoy the blessings in your current season. The little moments. The big moments. The rare date nights. All of it.
