I hate to say this because I know I’m not there yet. But…I’m looking forward to this!
Our oldest is 12 in two months from today!! We laughed today that he was dressed up as a ninja and not listening. Basically acting like a toddler. And he said it was because I didn’t want him to grow up.
Well buddy… my need for you to have executive function and eat good foods for you willingly is more than my need to snuggle your tiny squishy self.
So Momma is ready! Time to grow up!!

It was a blessing for me to get to see JD Vance this week! I have voted for and supported different conservative leaders over the years. And prayed more prayers and sang more prayers over them than I can count. But I have not gotten to see them in person!

It was more of a rally for the midterms but what he shared was still so encouraging!

This is what I prayed for!! God fearing men and women in position of power to bring positive change! I am not asking for perfection. And I will never apologize for being a conservative Christian. God bless America!

My kind of crunchy mom heart died inside when my kiddos started using this last month.

But the truth was. Their teeth were getting stained. I didn’t have an answer and so my not so crunchy (but has bended a lot in the last years and is willing to try new things) husband wanted their teeth to not look so brown.

I have been less and less legalistic about crunchy things. Humbled by a medically complex kiddo. Struggling with two painfully picky eaters.

Being a mom of four kids especially this last three years has stretched me to the max. And I had to let some things go.

Do I think this is the long term solution? No. Do I need to die on this hill today. Also no.

God help me find tooth paste that is healthy but doesn’t allow my kids teeth to turn brown and also doesn’t cost $15 a tube. Also God help my 2 year old not to squeeze the healthy expensive browning toothpaste and waste it all. Amen.

6th grade English is humbling me! Up to this point in my oldest life we have used Master Books and Logic of English!

I’m not opposed to a new curriculum at all! In fact the deep thinking and detail this one asks for is so so good!

But when I first laid eyes on this one it looked like Japanese! 😂 Mostly because of the new school brain overload I was already in!

I laugh mostly because I originally went to college to become a Jr. High English Teacher. Yep. But then my second year I switched to pre-Counseling and a music minor. Also that was 26 years ago. So…there ya go!

In the past month I have seen my son step up in ways I have only dreamed of. He is rising to the moment. Well at least I see the signs of it!

No it’s not perfect. It’s been slow and I haven’t always dealt with it well. But I love seeing him come out of his shell.

This was right. This move was what was needed. I am thankful for the teachers walking alongside us.

I am humbled again that I don’t have to have it all together for a plan to come together! He is sovereign and He loves my son more than I ever can.

Anyone wanna be my person tutor for this SPECS LOG? I think I am slowly figuring it out. Not as young as I used to be!
