It's A Vibe
We were celebrating their arrival, eating in one of my favorite restaurants, when my cousin said “it's a vibe”. Bewildered, I asked what he meant but I wasn't ready to be blown away by his response.
My cousin said in Atlanta, where he moved to, it's a vibe. In a restaurant like this, you'll have a DJ and not a classical piano. I say no, this place has elegance. My cousin says the DJ ain't saying “Bounce that ass ho”, as his wife interjects an “Aye” into our conversation. I say this place has class.
My cousin goes on and on about the differences between where I'm from and Atlanta, where he moved and every time I'd come up with a sophisticated answer. Finally, he says the hostess wouldn't have set us in the back of the restaurant.
I was blown away by the conclusion that he reached, as my cousin motioned for the waitress, to let her know how he felt being mistreated. The waitress kindly let him know that the hostess set us in the back because in our party was a baby, his one year old daughter and if she needed anything there's quick access to the kitchen and bathroom. My cousin responded with “Oh, we'll tip you extra good tonight “.
