One of the best parts of building a business in Kansas City is the community that supports it. ✨

During Global Entrepreneurship Week, we had the opportunity to sit down with Vicky Kulikov, Small Business Director at the , to talk about the many ways the Chamber shows up for small businesses across our city.

From educational programming to connection-driven events—and initiatives like the Small Business Superstar Recognition Program (which Enchanted Dawn was honored to be recognized through this year and will be chatting it up with the other amazing businesses in Kansas City at the Soirée tonight 🥹)—the Kansas City Chamber continues to create meaningful opportunities for entrepreneurs at every stage.

Having a dedicated small business advocate within an organization like the Chamber matters. It means business owners aren’t navigating growth alone, and it reinforces just how invested Kansas City is in the people building its future.

My heart is genuinely so full after yesterday’s session at GEWKC. Thank you — truly — to every single person who joined me or sent me texts and messages wishing me luck. Whether you came because you already knew who I was or you wandered in and decided to take a chance, I’m so grateful you chose to spend that moment with me.

Standing in a room full of entrepreneurs, creators, dreamers, and community-builders reminded me exactly why I love doing this work. Your energy, your curiosity, your willingness to reflect and open up.

I’m so excited to keep hearing your stories, supporting your journeys, and cheering you on as you build brands rooted in meaning, connection, and community. This was just the beginning!

Right before I stepped on stage today, that familiar wave of imposter symptoms hit. The “do I really know what I’m talking about?” kind of thoughts.

But I took a breath and reminded myself:
I do know what I’m saying. I believe in this message. And people want to hear it.
Not because it’s perfect, but because it’s real.
Not because I have all the answers, but because we’re all craving these conversations.

Entrepreneurship asks us to trust our voice long before we feel ready. To show up with intention. To believe that what we have to offer matters.

It is officially Global Entrepreneurship Week here in Kansas City. The lineup this year is filled with powerhouse presenters, innovative thinkers, and so many opportunities to connect with fellow entrepreneurs who are building, dreaming, and creating right here in our thriving small business community.

Kansas City truly shows up for its entrepreneurs, and I’m so grateful to be part of it.

I’ll be speaking tomorrow at 2:00 p.m. inside the Union Station Planetarium, sharing how to use storytelling-rooted social media strategies to build a brand that feels like a community.

Hi, friends! I love when the 1st lands on a Monday.

Fall is the season of slowing down, of gathering ourselves, and of shifting perspective.

In business, just like in life, it’s easy to get stuck in the “I should…” spiral:
“I should be further along by now.”
“I should be able to do this all myself.”
“I should already know what works.”

But here’s the truth: Your journey isn’t about doing more, faster, louder.

It’s about finding the perspective that allows you to grow with intention.

✨ What if instead of “I should have it all figured out,” you shifted to:
“I’m learning, and I don’t have to do it alone.”

✨ Instead of “I should be doing everything,”
“I can ask for help and still be a strong leader.”

✨ Instead of “I should be further ahead,”
“I’ve come so far already, and there’s still time.”

This season, I want you to remember: your business doesn’t need perfection. It needs perspective, story, and a community of people who believe in your brand as much as you do.
