Watching Beyoncé on the Cowboy Carter tour has been a full-circle kind of inspiration.

Not just because of her presence, her power, or the way she’s built an empire with intention—but because of the way she looks at her daughters on stage.

We’ve seen Blue Ivy dance beside her over the years. And recently, her younger daughter Rumi joined her during “Protector”—a song that already holds so much meaning for me as a mother.

The moment wasn’t about the lights or the choreography.
It was about legacy.

There’s something so moving about watching a woman at the height of her career, utterly captivated by her children stepping into their own. The pride on Beyoncé’s face… that quiet awe as she watched them claim space with grace and power. That’s what hit me most.

As a mom and a business owner, I think about this often:
Our children are always watching.
They see the late nights. The client calls. The risks we take. The values we lead with.
They’re learning not just what we do—but who we are in the process.

I’m not just building a business for me. I’m building something my daughter can learn from, be proud of, and—if she chooses—add to or shape in her own way.

She may not take the same path I’m on, but she’ll know that her voice matters.
That she’s capable of building, growing, creating, and leading.
Because she saw me do it—with love, with vision, and with her in mind.

This Mother’s Day, I’m thinking of all the mothers showing up in quiet, consistent, powerful ways—whether you’re building a business, a home, a legacy, or simply holding space for your child’s growth.

Last week, I had the absolute joy of spending the afternoon at my daughter’s school for career day, sharing a bit about what I do in the world of marketing and social media.

So many kids dream of becoming content creators someday, and I loved being able to shift the conversation toward how content creation can be used for marketing — giving them tangible, empowering ways to make that dream a reality without all the pressure and downsides we often see in the influencer space.

Whether they love art, writing, video editing, or storytelling, there is a path forward for them — and that’s the message I wanted to share. And of course, the former teacher in me couldn’t resist putting together a kid-friendly business plan to help them imagine what starting a business could actually look like.

Running my own small business has been one of the greatest gifts — not only because I get to help other entrepreneurs bring their dreams to life through Enchanted Dawn, but because it gives me the freedom to show up for moments like this with my daughter. I’ll never stop being grateful for that. 💛

On this International Women’s Day, I’m reflecting on the incredible women I’ve had the privilege of meeting—not just as a business owner, but as a mother, a creative, and a woman simply existing in this world.

From the brilliant entrepreneurs building something from nothing, to the mothers balancing it all with grace (and sometimes just sheer determination), to the friends who show up with love, honesty, and a reminder that we’re never alone—community among women is everything.

Women thrive in connection. We are stronger together. We hold each other accountable, celebrate each other’s wins, and offer soft places to land when life feels unrelenting.

Community isn’t just a nice-to-have—it’s essential. It’s what helps us grow, heal, and push forward even when the world tries to shrink us.

To the women who inspire me daily—my clients, my friends, my fellow business owners, and the ones I have yet to meet—thank you. Thank you for your resilience, your wisdom, your kindness, and your unwavering ability to lift others up.

Today is Rare Disease Day, a day dedicated to raising awareness and supporting those affected by rare medical conditions. At Enchanted Dawn, storytelling is at the heart of everything we do—not just in marketing but in creating real impact.

That’s why we’re working on launching The Hummingbird Foundation, an initiative dedicated to supporting caregivers of medically complex children through financial assistance, emotional support, and respite care. While we are still in the early stages of making this vision a reality, our commitment is clear: a portion of Enchanted Dawn’s proceeds will go toward funding this mission, ensuring that families navigating the challenges of rare diseases are not alone.

This cause is deeply personal to us, and we believe that stories have the power to create change—not just in business but in the lives of those who need it most.

We did it! ✨

Last year, I set a goal: to do enough meaningful work for businesses in Kansas City to be recognized as a Small Business Superstar by the Kansas City Chamber of Commerce. And today, in our third year of business—while growing faster than ever—Enchanted Dawn has officially reached that milestone.

This recognition isn’t just about me. It’s about the incredible businesses we’ve had the privilege to support, the creative collaborations, and the trust our clients have placed in us. It’s about the Kansas City community that continues to uplift small businesses and the friends, family, and mentors who have believed in me every step of the way.

Running a business isn’t easy, but moments like these remind me why I started—to tell meaningful stories, help brands grow in ways that resonate with their community, and continue to be an example for my daughter.
