What happens when a fan catches a home run ball?
Do they get to keep it?
What if that home run is the 3,000th ever hit in the stadium’s history—and the team wants it for their Hall of Fame?
Now what if the ball landed in an area just beyond a fence, and a fan reached over—but never entered—to grab it? Precedent says that’s abandoned property and the fan’s to keep… but security didn’t see it that way.
We sat down with Mike Liberty tells us how he was ejected from the stadium and had the historic home run ball taken from him.
