If you are blessed to still have them, call them. 🤍
We laid to rest my sweet, angelic Grandmother yesterday. It was beautiful and full of love being surrounded by family. There is such peace knowing her eternal soul rejoices with our Lord in Heaven. I will deeply miss the woman who gifted me with countless memories and taught me so much.
Like how to admire the unique and antique. My type A + her type B often had me organizing her crafting supplies and her teaching me that art isn’t meant to be perfect — it’s the experience just as much as the output. She’s one of the first reasons I first fell in love with real, tangible photo albums. I learned classic children’s games with her, walked miles in nature, strolled the shops of Parkville, and spent years decorating her sky-high Christmas tree. She left me letters and gifts long before memory evaded her for important milestones in my life like marriage and children. Her thoughtfulness knew no bounds. Some of my most precious memories will be those of her with my girls. 💕
She taught me how to glorify God in many roles: as a daughter, sister, friend, and wife. And maybe even a few cheeky jokes and tricks I’ll keep just between us.
Love you forever, Grandma. 🪽
