Today is Daniel’s two-year gotcha day… We were supposed to be celebrating, but Steve had other plans and can’t p*e…. 😞 For anyone who doesn’t know, a male cat not being able to p*e is a true emergency. So we’re heading into work on our morning off. We’ll celebrate our sweet Dan when everyone’s stable. Happy two years, Danny boy. I promise we’ll celebrate you properly soon! I can’t believe it’s been 2 years! 🥹❤️

Dan spent the night tucked up with me, Steve, and Dad in one big cuddle puddle. 🤍

This morning, we’re heading to work for as long as I can manage to be there. Apparently the sky is crying with me, because it’s raining pretty hard out there too. 😭💔

So today I’m not asking much of myself. Just to get through the day, one little piece at a time, with my Daniel beside me. 🤍

I only have to be at work for an hour today, but the important part was leaving Daniel where his heart is… purring contentedly beside Mimi, watching the birds together in their window. Knowing how short their time together is, that mattered so much more than sticking to routine.
