October has a way of slowing me down.

Cooler air. Leaves starting to turn. Light that feels softer than it did in July. I catch myself looking at the people I love and thinking, we will not get this exact version of them again.
Kids grow. Seniors step into a new chapter. Dogs get a little more gray around the muzzle. Families shift. The photos I wish I had are the ones I kept putting off until the season felt perfect. It never does.

So this is me making the season easy.
