Today marks a milestone for the company.

Welsh Sound is celebrating 30 years today.

From humble beginnings with just a pickup truck and small PA for local motorsports events and club shows to the the vast inventory of concert pro audio, lighting , rigging, video and staging systems that occupies our 9,000+ sqft warehouse.

So many to thank over the years for making the business what it is today .

THANKS TO ALL WHO TURNED OUT FOR CONCERT

Thanks to everyone who turned out for our special free concert of military music from the Revolutionary War period on Sunday, June 22.

The concert was held in Shepherdstown's Trinity Episcopal Church, and the church was packed.

The music was performed by Music of the Regiment, an ensemble of musicians from the Mid-Atlantic region who are dedicated to the study and performance of martial music of the 18th and 19th centuries. They perform with instruments that are correct for the period, so those who attended the concert heard its music just as George Washington and his colleagues would have done.

The accompanying photo shows the members of the ensemble. They are, from left to right: Chris Caudill, Rachel Niketopoulos, Dominic Giardino, Elise Bonhivert, Kelsey Schilling, and Chris Troiano.

If you missed the concert, you'll have another chance to hear this group next year. Friends of Music, which cosponsored this concert, will join with Friends of Happy Retreat to bring Music of the Regiment back for two performances in April. The first performance will be at 7:30 pm Saturday, April 18, at Shepherdstown's Trinity Episcopal Church. The second will be at 3:00 pm Sunday, April 19, at Happy Retreat in Charles Town.
