Kennesaw State Student Media is home to KSU’s four student-produced media outlets as well as a student staff marketing team. Collectively they provide news, information, and entertainment to the campus in addition to hands-on learning opportunities for students. KSUSM prepares students for successful careers through the support of student-led multimedia outlets and the cultivation of a real-world

learning environment. We promote the student voice, journalistic integrity, business integrity, cultural diversity and community engagement through partnerships with members of the Kennesaw State campus and community. We support:

The Sentinel* weekly newspaper
The Owl Connection street team
Talon* feature magazine
Share* art and literary magazine
Owl Radio* streaming radio station
Owl Post handbook and planner

*Registered student organizations through the Department of Student Life. Our work is made possible through student-fees as well as revenue from advertisers and underwriters.

Congrats on 57 years!
The very first issue of the Kennesaw Junior College newspaper, The Sentinel, was published with the headline, “First Week Brings 1,000 Students” on Monday, October 3, 1966.
Tomorrow, Oct. 3, 2023, The Sentinel turns 57! To all the students who chased down stories or cajoled writers or stayed late on producton nights, who distributed papers, cursed computers (or PageMaker or InDesign), sold ads, caught a typo before it reached print, went on retreats or CMA conferences in New York or DC, to every editor, manager, photographer, designer, cartoonist, ad rep and reporter - thank you for your part in helping The Sentinel celebrate its 57th Anniversary!

The current staff of The Sentinel and other KSU Student Media are about to miss out on these adventures - because KSU students, including KSUSM are no longer getting free Adobe licenses. KSU is dropping this service July 1.
The current Sentinel EIC has started a petition and would appreciate your support.
