Remember production nights when Pagemaker would crash? Or Quark? Or InDesign?
The current staff of The Sentinel and other KSU Student Media are about to miss out on these adventures - because KSU students, including KSUSM are no longer getting free Adobe licenses. KSU is dropping this service July 1.
The current Sentinel EIC has started a petition and would appreciate your support.
Give KSU students back their Adobe Licenses

Congratulations to Cobb County staffer Raymond Goslow who has impressively catapulted into the finals of this year's Jeopardy! National College Championship. Raymond won his round in the semi-finals with earnings of $20,779 (they are really "game points", not dollars in this edition), securing one of the top three spots in the final round. Tune in at 8 p.m, Tuesday, Feb. 22, to see if Raymond can clinch the title of champion.
Goslow is a Senior Library Assistant for Periodicals and is representing Kennesaw State University. He graduated in December in Geospatial Sciences. Before joining the Cobb library staff, he helped out as a volunteer at South Cobb Regional Library. Raymond is a veteran Rubik’s Cube competitor and a Spelling Bee champion.

Interested in helping WABE stay on top of what matters most to the greater Atlanta area? Applications to join the WABE Advisory Board are now open!
On this day ten years ago, the AVTS and Facilities staff worked out the details for an antenna on top of the Carmichael Student Center for OWL Radio. The station hoped to add low power Am or FM to its broadcast capabilities.
While the purchasing was never approved, the holes drilled are still visible in the stairwell behind the back office.
Where were you when the world ended?
A time before Facebook? Here’s The Sentinel’s story on ”TheFacebook” only a year after it‘s launch in 2004.
Happy National Newspaper Week, KSU Sentinel!
Media Bias Chart 8.0 is here! For the first time, we have web, TV, and podcast sources all appearing on the same chart.
Looking for a source? We have over 1,000 of them rated, and you can find them on the Interactive MBC at:
A few things to remember about the Media Bias Chart in general:
1) There are more sources on the Interactive version! Go look there!
“2) Middle” doesn’t mean best. It just means middle. More on that concept at
3) To arrive at these ratings, we have teams of trained analysts that are balanced with right, left, and center political views. They apply a content analysis methodology to rate numerous factors of reliability and bias. See our methodology and white paper here.
4) No one agrees with all the placements on the Media Bias Chart because it doesn’t reflect any one person’s opinion and personal sample. It reflects the composite judgment of multiple diverse, trained analysts over a 20,000-article and episode sample.
Fourteen years!?! Here’s to many, many more!
