Welcome to Rewrite the Ending—
the podcast about the stories we carry, the choices we make,
and the power we have to shape what comes next.
Every day, we tell ourselves stories—about who we are, what we deserve,
what’s possible for us, and what isn’t.
Some of those stories were written for us long before we ever knew we had a pen in our hand.
They came from our families, our communities, our institutions—
from the quiet rules about who gets protected, who gets believed,
and who’s allowed to take up space.
They came from the kind of racism people insist doesn’t exist anymore—
the polite kind, the behind-the-doors kind,
the “I love everyone, but…” kind
that shapes small towns and shapes people
even when no one wants to admit it.
Other stories were drafted in moments of pain, panic, or survival—
moments when we did the best we could with the tools we had,
even if those tools were worn down, incomplete, or handed to us
by systems that were never built for everyone.
Each week on Rewrite the Ending, a guest will share one of those stories—
a story they’ve replayed for years, or a moment that left a scar or a lesson.
We’ll talk about who they were then, what they were up against,
and how the ending of that chapter might have looked different
if they’d had the support, clarity, freedom, or courage
they’ve found since.
Because while we can’t go back and rewrite what happened,
we can rewrite the stories we carry forward—
the stories about who we are, how we heal,
how we show up for one another,
and what it really means to live with integrity
in a world that doesn’t always make that easy.
This is a space for honesty.
For courage.
For grace.
For the kind of truth-telling that lets us pick up the pen—
maybe for the first time—
and choose a different ending.
