"In WWII, the Japanese were breaking every American code. The Marines needed a new language. They recruited 29 Navajo men. The Navajo language is incredibly complex and had no written alphabet. The "Code Talkers" developed a code where "Turtle" meant "Tank" and "Hawk" meant "Dive Bomber." They could transmit messages in seconds that took machines 30 minutes to encrypt. The Japanese captured and tortured Navajo soldiers, but even they couldn't break the code because it was a made-up military dialect."
