Join me for a service project and to celebrate Jungkook's birthday!! For my granddaughter's birthday she wanted a donation to a charity. Choosing the donation and the charity took a few days for me to settle on. I have for many years made quilts of all sizes and types and donated them for fundraising raffles at the schools, for the firefighters, and a local women's business club. But my favorite is making quilts and blankets for Children's Hospital and Social Service agencies wherever in the US there is a need and I can help at that time. My granddaughter loves loves loves kids, so I decided to combine the two and host a one day "make a quilt" event in honor of JK's birthday, as he is my inherited bias from said granddaughter. Finished quilts will be delivered to Dayton Children's Hospital and Seoul National University Children's Hospital. There will be something for everyone to do regardless of your sewing skill level. Please join me on 23 Sep 2023 at Apex Church in Kettering OH, to make quilts, blankets, meet ARMY, celebrate JK and just have a good time!! More details to follow. NO VENDORS. Today I accepted an invite and went to a K-Pop Picnic in the Park, another first. My ARMY friend texted me and said basically this starts at noon and I will be there, so I decided to meet her there. Met some more awesome ARMY, ate from a local Bibibop Asian Grille (who catered) and decorated top-loaders. More firsts. To those who don't get it, well, don't knock it until you have tried it. My family is my family and will always come first. My ARMY family is just that, my ARMY family. We don't share blood we share a bond over music that makes us smile, laugh and cry. BTS does all that and when the boys are at work and the DILs are busy taking care of their families and doing mom stuff, and the kids are in school, well BTS in on the TV or laptop and keeping me company. It has taken me 3+ years to remember that Ken would want me out and about and doing new things. Even though the boys kept telling me that I never understood what they meant, now I do. Everyone should live their life doing what makes them happy and when my family isn't here 24/7 (cause they have their own lives and I don't need to be babysat...lol)) then I do my life while enjoying awesome music. Don't be sad for me, I'm not.

So what does a Crazy Old Grandma really want, besides good health and happiness for all of my friends and family? I would really like good health and happiness for everyone in the world! I can't make that happen but I think health and happiness are most definitely linked. And I think that music can bring happiness to anyone. So I want to share my love of the amazing music that BTS has given us and will hopefully continue to give us for many years. I recorded my first and only podcast months ago just as a fun thing to do with my grandkids and it had nothing to do with BTS. Today forward I will be doing this alone, just me. I will still be sharing with the grandkids of course, but I can relate to a lot of life they haven't yet experienced. So if you're a little blue or even if you just want someone to chat with drop me a line, share a story, anything you need. I will be putting a social media presence together (once I figure out exactly what that means) and hopefully I can bring a little bit of happiness into your life through the music, lyrics, and of BTS.
