YOU CANNOT MIX THE NEW OIL WITH THE OLD OIL

Fresh oil cannot be poured into a vessel still clinging to yesterday’s residue.

The new cannot be mixed with the old without corrupting what is being released.

Many desire a fresh anointing while holding tightly to old wounds, old traditions, old compromises, and old ways of thinking. But new oil demands a cleansed vessel, not a crowded one.

What sustained the last season cannot carry the next.

The former assignment has ended.

The former grace has fulfilled its purpose.

The former oil accomplished what it was sent to accomplish.

Do not return to what Heaven has already moved beyond.

Empty the vessel.

Lay aside every weight.

Release every attachment to what once was.

Fresh oil belongs to those willing to embrace a new season with surrendered hearts.

“Remember not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, a new thing springs forth.” — Isaiah 43:18–19

Do not mix what Heaven has finished with what Heaven is now releasing.

Allah, I allow you into my heart right now so I can be ready for those situations that have been making me angry. Help me to remember the wisdom of walking away to somewhere peaceful when my emotions are getting the best of me.

Jesus, I have some pain in my heart from others who I feel have betrayed me and not shown me love. Thank you that you understand my pain. I choose today to hand that pain over to you and ask that you work in the heart of those who have wronged me. Help me to let go.
