Hello June ☀️

This month I want to focus a little less on constantly chasing the next find… and a little more on the people and moments right in front of me.

More family time.
More summer memories.
More balance.
More finishing what I’ve already started.

I love this little business and everything that comes with it — the thrifting, the yard sales, the organizing, the listing, setting up my booth, the excitement of the hunt, and dreaming about what this could become someday.

But if I’m being honest, this whole thing can also become a little consuming sometimes. There’s always another sale, another thrift trip, another thing to list, another idea, another project waiting.

And with becoming an almost empty nester this fall, I’m realizing more than ever how quickly time moves.

So this summer, I want to be more intentional.
Still growing.
Still thrifting.
Still building.
But also slowing down enough to enjoy the quiet little moments with my husband and kids while they’re still all here together.

Because the balance between building something you love and being fully present with the people you love… that’s the part I’m still trying to figure out. 💛

If anyone else struggles with that balance too, I’d genuinely love to hear how you handle it.

What are you hoping for this month?

What Sold on eBay This Week 👀📦

A fun mix of vintage, replacement pieces, toys, LEGO, and random finds headed out the door this week! This is why I always say you never know what people are searching for on eBay.

✨ This week’s sales:
• Johnson Brothers Friendly Village Ironstone cereal bowls
• Vintage 1983 Crayola Coloring Set
• Ninja replacement travel lids
• LEGO Christmas Picture Frame set
• Vintage brass sunflower door knocker
• Disneyland decorative border puzzle
• LeapFrog Fridge Phonics apple set

Some of these were thrifted, some yard sale finds, and a few long-tail items that finally found the right buyer. That’s the fun of reselling — everyday items can turn into sales if you know what to look for. 🙌

Which item would YOU have picked up? 👀

The Color Game at Goodwill 👀
When the endcaps are merchandised by color — green, red, purple, blue… it turns shopping into a whole different experience.

It’s not just browsing anymore… it’s choosing your color and seeing what treasures show up 🛍️✨

So what color are you shopping first?

New question for everyone because I feel like every area is totally different… 👀

What do you think is the BEST day for a yard sale?
Friday? Saturday? Sunday? A combination?

And when do you usually have the best luck shopping yard sales too? Early Friday mornings? Saturday community sales? Sunday clearance deals?

I’m curious what works best where you live because it seems so different everywhere! 🛍️

You’re fueled by coffee or in my case Diet Coke and walking into this sale… 👀

Are you shopping or leaving? 👀🛍️
I need to know what everyone else would do because there was definitely a lot to look at here. 😂

When we visited the Habitat ReStore in Bonita Springs, Florida, I was honestly blown away. You could completely furnish and decorate an entire home from that store alone — furniture, lighting, wall decor, home goods, paint, mirrors… it felt like a mix between a furniture showroom and a treasure hunt.

Fast forward to visiting the ReStore closest to me here in Connecticut, and the experience was totally different. This location feels much more hardware-focused — cabinetry, sinks, plumbing supplies, fittings, overstock building materials, and shelves of brand-new home improvement items that look straight out of Lowe’s.

Neither is bad — they just serve very different needs, and I actually think it’s fascinating how much these stores reflect the donations and needs of their local communities.

Now I’m curious…
Have you ever been to a Habitat ReStore? And what’s yours like — more furniture and decor or more hardware and renovation supplies?

Okay thrifters, be honest 👀
Where do you actually find your BEST treasures?

If you’re in Connecticut, Rhode Island, or Massachusetts—what spots are your absolute must-stops? Thrift stores, antique malls, yard sales, estate sales… I want the real favorites.

Let’s build a local treasure map together 🗺️✨

When you pull up to a yard sale, you never really know what to expect. This one looked super promising — everything was neat, clean, organized, and under tents to protect it from the weather, so I had high hopes. There was definitely a little bit of everything.

But once I started looking at the prices, I realized pretty quickly this probably wasn’t the sale for me. And honestly, not just as a reseller — even as a regular shopper, I love true thrift store and yard sale pricing. When yard sales start feeling more like antique store prices, it can be hard to shop unless it’s something you’re specifically hunting for.

No shade at all — people can price things however they want — but it definitely changes the experience for buyers.

Would you keep shopping or move on to the next sale?

Thrifting with me comes with zero self-control.
I’ll talk you out of one thing… then somehow help you find six others you absolutely “need.” 🤷🏼‍♀️🛒

I have a love-hate relationship with selling puzzles. Some sell super fast… and some just sit forever.

I definitely prefer finding them factory sealed because if I’m selling an opened puzzle, I feel obligated to make sure every single piece is there. So naturally, that means building them first. 😂

I started working on this one and quickly realized I needed to call in some reinforcements. Thankfully, my sister-in-law is amazing at puzzles and stepped in to save the day. And honestly? This puzzle turned out SO cool once completed.

What I didn’t expect was how fast it would sell. I listed it this morning, received an offer just a couple hours later, and while it was a little under my asking price, it was still a great profit — so I happily accepted!

Now it’s packed up and heading to its new home today. Huge thanks to my sister-in-law for the team effort on this one because without her doing the hard part, I don’t think this sale would’ve happened. Finding the puzzle was easy… building it was another story. 😂🧩
