My favorite time of year!😍

Migration Alert: Over 443 million birds are forecast to fly across the East Coast and eastern Midwest tonight. To help birds make their journey safely, turn off all off all nonessential lights from 11 PM to 6 AM to keep them from becoming disoriented. Make windows safer with bird-friendly treatments to prevent collisions. More than a billion birds die in glass collisions every year. A little drama at the bluebird house this morning! 😂🐦 Three Eastern Bluebirds were keeping a close eye on things when a Red-bellied Woodpecker decided to stop by. Never a dull moment at The Morning Perch!

Walked outside the other day and caught one of our regular raccoon visitors helping itself to a few persimmons under the tree 😂🦝🍂 Looks like The Morning Perch has a pretty good snack bar this time of year!

Another beautiful visitor making the most of the bird bath 💛🐦 This lovely female Summer Tanager stopped by The Morning Perch for a little splash and cool down. Fall migration has brought us some amazing visitors, and she’s quickly become one of our favorites!
