Bluegills were on fire this morning! I quit counting but 40 would be a lowball guess.

I started out with a float using redworms. Caught a couple, but very small. I switched to a bottom rig on ultralight with 2 very small splitshot and a #6 Aberdeen hook. Bigger gills were out away from the bank. They were biting so good, I tried artificial. Same rig, with a Gulp Honeyworm. Got a few small bites but no takers. I even tried my goto Pautzke fire gel shrimp, but no change. Went back to a redworm and nearly got bored catching fish.

Nothing over 6 inches but for 4 solid hours caught fish nearly every cast. Thats living folks.

Managed a couple small ones today. Cold front and wind shut them down possibly.

Hey yall, hope everyone is doing well. Just wanted to update, for the 1 or 2 of you wondering. I'm still kickin. Still fishing here and there but I am focusing on my well being above everything else.

Did a little creek fishing today, it's been awhile. I purchased some red worms this morning, and I normally don't but I needed some info. I fished 2 to 2.5 hours in one of my usual spots. I did manage 9-10 bites, and 5 catches, all very small bluegill. Every bite came within itches to the bank. I'm in East Tennessee, daily temps in low to mid 80s with overnights dropping to mid to upper 50s. Panfish should be ramped up, but I felt like it was mid July. Anyone else experiencing this?

Ever have one of those days where every thing you do is a hassle to the point you're on the edge of completely losing your s**t? Today is that day. I put away the rod before I broke it over my knee. Now I'm just gonna drive jamming some metal. No content today, I do apologize.

Klay is comfy and hasn't had much pain after surgery. He didnt get much sleep last night but he is trying to catch up right now. For now we are in a holding pattern. The blood cultures have been sent off and they must be tested to determine what antibiotics are necessary. We are here until those results come back. Could be as early as tomorrow, but could also be Monday if they dont get read tomorrow. We will play it by ear. The mainest thing is Klay is stable, not hurting, and we can all take a deep breath. Thank you for all of the prayers and support! It means more than you all truly understand. Radiation will restart. The 2 days that Klay had are now void and we will start with a clean slate in 2 weeks as long as everything heals up nicely. Recovery first Radiation next.🙏🎗
