🏫 New school zone signs are coming to Kirkland!

Driven by community feedback, new signs will alert drivers to school zones when entering from major side streets. Remember that 20 MPH school speed limits apply in school zones near start and dismissal times. Slow down, pay attention, and drive with care.

These new signs came from direct community feedback and are part of the City Council’s commitment to improving school safety zones. Thank you for sharing your input with the City!

Bluebridge Funds Used to Aid Woman in Crisis

On October 3, 2025, Redmond officers were dispatched to check the welfare of a woman in a vehicle parked along Avondale Road.

When officers arrived, they found a woman who had been living in the vehicle with her boyfriend. She had visible bruises, which she said were from a recent assault, and shared that she hadn’t eaten in 24 hours.

Thanks to our BlueBridge debit card, funded by grants and local donations, officers were able to purchase food for her immediately. She was then taken to a local hospital for further evaluation and care.

This is just one example of how the BlueBridge Alliance Program empowers Redmond officers to address urgent needs in the moment, whether it’s food, shelter, clothing, or transportation. These small acts of support build trust and deepen the connection between law enforcement and the community we serve.
