🌟 FOSTERS NEEDED! 🌟

We desperately need foster homes for a couple dogs that are not handling shelter life well.

🐾 BAILEY: 7-month-old Lab/Shepherd Mix (52 lbs. and growing)
Bailey is a brilliant, high-energy pup who's ready to take on the world! She needs an active, dog-savvy foster who can help her channel her smarts into training and socialization. She's treat and ball motivated, eager to learn, and full of potential. A cat-free home is best-she's a bit too curious about them!

🐾 LENNOX: 1 y/o Pit Bull Terrier Mix (38 lbs.)
Lennox is a sweet girl battling severe anxiety in the shelter. She's done well in playgroups with other social dogs, but kennel life is just too much for her. We believe a loving foster home could help her decompress and rediscover what it means to just be a dog. We don't know how Lennox will do with cats.

💜 Please email our behavior coordinator, Christina at [email protected] if you would like to learn more. Thank you!

Kirkland Police officers are actively searching for a 35-year-old, heavyset man wearing a gray tank top who fled on foot after abandoning his vehicle. The man was involved in a road rage incident in which he reportedly threatened another driver with a gun and knife.

A drone is currently in the air and a K-9 unit is enroute to assist in the search.

Kirkland Police Seek Community Help on Cold Case

The Kirkland Police Department has launched a new Cold Case webpage to highlight unsolved cases that remain under investigation. The page serves as a central location where the public can learn about ongoing cold cases, share information with detectives, and help bring long-awaited closure to victims and their families.

At this time, the page features one case: the 2006 homicide of 23-year-old John Austin Schuoler. On September 15, 2006, Schuoler was found deceased in his Kirkland apartment by his roommate. The King County Medical Examiner’s Office determined the cause of death to be blunt force trauma, ruling it a homicide. Despite an extensive investigation, a suspect was not charged, and the case remains unsolved.
