Luxury wellness travel is on the rise, and it isn’t what it used to be.

When I’m planning a luxury vacation now, I’m seeing more travelers looking for something beyond a beautiful resort and a great spa.

Better sleep. Nutrition. Movement. Time in nature. Less stress. Experiences that actually leave you feeling better when you come home than when you left.

And luxury hotels and cruise lines are responding with everything from sleep-focused programs and thermal circuits to personalized wellness, nutrition and recovery experiences.

I think this is one of the most interesting shifts happening in luxury travel right now.

Because sometimes the real luxury isn’t doing more on vacation.

It’s coming home actually feeling like you had one.

I like to pay attention to the experiences that make a trip feel restorative, not just memorable.

When you come home from vacation, are you usually refreshed…or do you need a vacation from your vacation? 😂

A lazy river, FlowRider AND a bowling alley…at an ADULTS-ONLY all-inclusive?! 👀

Okay, you’ve got my attention.

Here’s what makes this one interesting: it was originally designed to be a family resort before plans changed and it became adults-only. But some of those fun features? They stayed.

🌊 Lazy river
🏄 FlowRider
🎳 Bowling alley
⛳ Virtual golf
🏓 Pickleball
🌮Great food
🛎️ 24-hour room service
🌴 And that gorgeous Costa Mujeres beach

Plus, more than 80% of the rooms have an ocean view, it’s easy to get around, and the whole resort has a beautiful, modern feel.

Adults-only does NOT have to mean sitting quietly by the pool all day. 😂

Although…you can absolutely do that too.
