The National Weather Service in Melbourne has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for... North central Osceola County in east central Florida...

* Until 545 PM EDT.

* At 515 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles southwest of Harmony, or 9 miles south of Saint Cloud, moving north at 10 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include... Saint Cloud, West Lake Toho, Harmony, Alligator Lake, and Pine Grove.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is also occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately. Remember, lightning can strike beyond 10 miles away from a thunderstorm.

..A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTH CENTRAL OSCEOLA COUNTY THROUGH 600 PM EDT...

At 513 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8 miles southwest of Harmony, or 9 miles south of Saint Cloud, moving north at 10 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible.

Locations impacted include... Kissimmee, Saint Cloud, East Lake Toho, West Lake Toho, and Narcoossee.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Conditions are favorable for the development of weak, brief funnel clouds. On rare occasions they can briefly touch down, producing wind gusts over 50 mph. If a funnel cloud is spotted move indoors and report your sighting to the National Weather Service.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include... Saint Cloud and Lake Kissimmee.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include... Orlando, Kissimmee, Buena Ventura Lakes, East Lake Toho, and Narcoossee.

..A TORNADO WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 615 PM EDT FOR SOUTH CENTRAL BREVARD COUNTY...

At 554 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Camp Holly Fish Camp, moving south at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely.

This dangerous storm will be near... Camp Holly Fish Camp and West Melbourne around 600 PM EDT. Palm Bay around 610 PM EDT.

Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include June Park.
