🚗💨 Avoid These Dates if You Hate Traffic!

Planning a trip to Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, or Sevierville in 2026? If bumper-to-bumper traffic, full parking lots, and nonstop cruising on the Parkway aren’t your thing, you’ll want to steer clear of these weekends.

These major car shows bring thousands of vehicles and visitors, turning the Parkway into a rolling car museum — amazing to see, not amazing for traffic.

🔥 March 19–21 — Chevys In The Smokies + Spring Corvette Expo
Classic Chevys and Corvettes take over with swap meets and vendors — big crowds expected.

🐎 March 23–28 — Ponies In The Smokies (Mustang Event)
One of the largest Mustang gatherings in the country with shows, Shine Run, and cruising — heavy traffic likely.

🛞 April 16–18 — Spring Pigeon Forge Rod Run
A massive classic car takeover of the Parkway plus huge swap meets — major congestion.

🚚 May 14–16 — Grand National F-100 Truck Show
Ford F-100 fans fill the LeConte Center and surrounding roads — busy all weekend.

🚗 June 4–6 — Pontiacs In Pigeon Forge
Pontiac enthusiasts cruise the Parkway — steady traffic throughout town.

🛻 August 14–15 — Smoky Mountain Bronco Stampede
Strong Bronco turnout near the LeConte Center — expect increased congestion.

🧗‍♂️ August 20–22 — Great Smoky Mountain Jeep Invasion
One of the biggest Jeep events anywhere with parades and trail rides — SUPER busy.

🍁 September 17–19 — Fall Pigeon Forge Rod Run
The biggest car show of the year — thousands of cars cruising day and night. Plan ahead or avoid entirely.
