AITA for not letting my SIL use my wedding dress for her wedding even though she can't afford one?

My (28F) younger brother (24M) and his fiancée (23F) are supposed to get married in the spring after being engaged for about year. My younger brother has always been the golden child between the both of us to my mom (not to my dad). Him and his fiancée currently live with her, rent free might I add.

My dad and I on the other hand have mixed feelings about this wedding. We both feel like my brother is rushing into thing's and not being financially smart. He just finished his bachelor program a year ago, is still trying to get on his feet and find a good full time job in his field, and decides to spend thousands of dollars on a wedding?

We sat him down and explained this to him and asked him what the rush was? Why not push it off for a few years and save up so you guys can really have the wedding of your dreams?

He explained to us that his fiancée wants the wedding as soon as possible and doesn't want to wait.

Well his fiancée's family is pitching in a couple thousand for the wedding, my dad reluctantly is pitching in a couple thousand as well (all important later).

WIBTA for snitching to my friends parents after she got 3 tickets when she borrowed my car?

About a month ago I let my friend borrow my car to go visit her BF because hers was getting repairs. Well the other day I got 3 parking tickets in the mail from the town where he lives (I've never been there in my life).. well she is totally denying it and saying the dates dont match up (they totally do) and refusing to pay for the violations. Her parents support her so she could absolutely afford it.. but they don't know about the BF and s__t would hit the fan if they found out. The $130 would be a huge dent out of my funds that I cant afford at the moment and I feel like she has left me no choice but to ask her parents to pay it. Or is that a huge overreaction and I just need to accept the crap hand fate as dealt me here and eat the $130??

AITA for bringing my cat with me on a popular hike and accidentally antagonizing a few dogs?

So I live by myself in a big city. There are a lot of hiking trails around me so I’ve been hiking almost every weekend since the pandemic started.

A few weeks ago I bought one of those mesh cat carrier backpacks to put my cat in because I wanted to bring her with me for company. She loves being outside. I used it this past weekend on a fairly well-known but still remote at parts trail.

About halfway through a pack of 3 dogs came down the opposite direction, unleashed, and started going nuts at my backpack (with cat inside). Their owners turn the corner and yell at them to sit, dogs keep barking, then they start yelling at me asking if I’m trying to feed their dogs.

It ends up taking a few minutes with them having to releash each dog just to pull them away. Before they left, one of the women gave me a look and said “keep your cats off this trail next time, should be common sense.”

AITA for bringing my cat? I’ve been going over it in my head. The trail is open to everyone and dogs are technically required to be leashes, but people don’t care on the remote parts. My cat still ended up having a...

AITA for telling my fiancée that my friend’s trauma is more important than her comfort?

My best friend lost a parent a year and a half ago which led him to a mental health crisis. Our friend group has been picking up the pieces ever since. He's doing much better now that he's in therapy, but he's definitely gone through it.

What has complicated matters worse is my fiancée. It goes without saying that I love her, but she is the definition of a busybody sometimes. My best friend is a very private person. She knows something happened with him, but she doesn't know the details of what that something is. She probably never will. But because she's around me and my friends often as my fiancée and I live in the same house, she hears bits and pieces of the story and presses for more information.

I try to circumvent this as best as I can - for example, I step out of the room for specific phone conversations. But still, it's hard to limit the discussion about it sometimes. If it’s necessary we bring it up and she’s around in person, we’ll refer to the 'Nolan situation' without giving specifics.

Nolan will also stop by my place at night when he can't sleep. This doesn't happen all that often - maybe twice a month. He'll text me or call...

AITA... showing up unplanned asking to be fed?

For Thanksgiving my family (2 adults, 3 kids) drove a long distance (6+ hours) to celebrate with my sister and her family. We had dinner on arrival (take out), Thanksgiving, then a planned brunch the next day all at her house. Saturday morning we show up thinking we were having a quick breakfast before she has her friends over for a 2nd brunch (done separately due to covid).

We arrive and her husband greets us. I am excited to spend a bit more time together, get some drinks for the road and drive home. Her husband then tells me that he will not be feeding us any food.

I am a bit confused, and he tells me that I misunderstood, they thought I was coming by to just say goodbye, and that they aren't feeding us. I have three hungry kids who haven't eaten, and we checked out of our hotel walking past the free breakfast we'd eaten the other mornings. I ask him directly what I'm supposed to do about the kids and he says there are lots of places for me to go to get food.

I literally ask if my kids can have an orange, and he says again he is not feeding us. So I tell my kids we are leaving, and...
