One More For The Good Guys

First time trying a Rodriguez cigar from my monthly blind taste subscription from . Wonderfully crafted with an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper over Nicaragua binder & fillers. Salted buttery goodness with a little cedar, floral notes, with some white pepper & coffee. Very enjoyable, very complex, anytime of day Connecticut smoke. I’m having mine with Coffe this morning but believe it pair quite nicely with a lower proof bourbon such as a bourbon. **rs if you’re ever in Key West, Florida do your self a favor & visit the shop. I certainly know I will the next time I am there. Also, if you’re a cigar lover or someone who wants to develop a pallet & have a unique oppertunity to taste these type of notes on your cigar journey, I couldn’t be more pleased with Standard & Twain. The selections & ease of signing up, delivery and receiving it each month is something I look forward to and enjoy thoroughly & that’s one more for the Good Guys!

First of all this is s a wonderful cigar that I’ve been a fan of for a long time. Second, if you get a Bellicoso or a torpedo that’s constructed well from a great company like I would suggest 2-3 major things to enhance your smoking experience. Don’t cut too much at first & try cutting it in a slight angle because you always trim away until you find your sweet spot & remember it’s supposed to be a little different.
A torpedo or Bellicoso are rolled by the most experienced rollers and often cost more than a regular Parejo shape. They’re meant to give you a different smoking experience with the smoke being channeled into that small opening and engaging your pallet differently. Cutting too much just eliminates why they were made this way entirely. So next time you wanna try one, follow these few simple steps and enjoy a new flavorful experience.

I may have to agree with Dave. It might the best barber pole I’ve ever smoked.
