We got humbled by a never-ending spiral staircase 😅
Round and round, questioning our life choices…We finally made it to the top of the Arc de Triomphe and the view totally worth the 284 steps 😛

Pro tip: take your time, stop halfway (you’ll need it), and don’t forget to look down that spiral—it’s lowkey the best photo moment.

Would I do it again? Absolutely.

That’s it. That’s the suitcase.

Somewhere between boarding gates and dreaming about the Aegean Sea, I apparently decided the airport bench was the perfect place for a pre-flight nap.

Minimal luggage.
Maximum Greece energy.

Because let’s be honest — when you’re going to the Greek islands, you’re basically rotating between:
☀️ swimsuit
🌊 beach
🍹 sunset drinks

Travel tip: neutral sandals + swimsuits + cover-ups = entire vacation wardrobe.

And yes… this is the exact moment my travel companion realized I was fully committed to the carry-on only lifestyle.

Throwback to the trip where a limo almost made us miss our flight to Santo Domingo 😅

I didn’t even plan this trip — my friend picked the destination and at the time I was just grateful to get away from life for a few days.

Now… would I go back? Probably not.
The all-inclusive resort was a little questionable and the water had way more seaweed than expected.

But I will say this… the sunsets showed up every single night. 🌅

So I’m curious —

Because I saw these friends this past weekend it reminded me of this trip where I really had no business going down a double black as a beginner snowboarder back in 2012. Like… absolutely none.

Halfway through I accepted my fate. I thought this was it. This is how I go out. On a mountain. In the snow. Dramatic.

But somehow… by the grace of the good Lord above and a whole lot of sliding, tumbling, and praying… I survived 😅🙏

Would I recommend it? No.
Did I learn my lesson? Also no.

We stood in Dam Square like we understood European history.
We absolutely did not.

But we were young, underdressed, slightly jet-lagged, and fully convinced this was the start of something big.

No reels. No stories.
Just “tag yourself” and hope someone comments.

I thought I was just “stopping by Buckingham Palace.”
Turns out I accidentally walked into a full royal production. 👑 (didn’t know at the time but they have a schedule if you ever want to go).

The band. The marching. The crowds. The gold details.
It feels less like sightseeing and more like stepping into British history mid-scene.

And can we talk about the Victoria Memorial?
That glowing statue on top? It’s covered in real gold leaf. Not paint. Not shimmer. Gold.

If you go:
• Arrive early (like 45 minutes early)
• Stand near the Victoria Memorial for a better angle
• Don’t expect personal space
• Expect brass music and dramatic vibes

London does ceremony really well.

10/10 would fight that crowd again.
