I didn’t expect to start calling Bingo with BeLocal Of K-Town this summer. You could say it wasn’t on my Bingo Card 🙃

It’s been a blast though! We’ve been packing Kern's Food Hall and Maple Hall benefiting local non-profits. Plus it’s always a good time teaming up with Tiffany and Red.

Come out and support non-profits! The next one is Tuesday, August 19th, 6:30pm back at Kerns Food Hall. Prizes have been legit! Walk straight in the main doors and you can’t miss us!

This shoot is a great example of what type of content we can capture. During this roof wash we captured Jacob from a few different angles.

We posed a few shots, but for the most part he went to work and I followed him along.

The end result from this one shoot was a month’s worth of photos and videos for his social media. Plus it is content of him actively doing the work, which isn’t the easiest to capture by yourself.

I’m a numbers guy, so I geek out over this kinda stuff. We’re off to a great start, I’m excited to the future of their business.

//FIRST SHOOT//

Yesterday I had my first content shoot with a client! They are a local Handyman Service.

We met a couple weeks ago for a strategy meeting where I asked questions about their brand, message, ideal client, services, and analyzed their past content. I’ve built a content schedule and came prepared with a shot list of photos and videos we needed for their social media. They kept working making home repairs and I followed along shooting photos and videos. Honestly it was a great time. While on the job site we had some great conversation about business and their story. Now to edit the footage and post!

//BACK TO WORK MONDAY//

We had a jam packed weekend! We’ve booked our first two clients for Smitty Socials and went out to celebrate with and Friday night! Saturday we hit the waterpark and Sunday was Cars and Coffee in the morning and then a birthday party that afternoon. Our son in the last photo shows how busy of a weekend it was 😂

Today has been busy with meetings, editing photo/video content (always), and a scheduling client content. It’s been a whirlwind since we launched and I feel blessed to be this busy.

We worked so hard to hit the ground running that I never introduced myself or welcomed everyone. My name is Jeff Smith, but you can call me Smitty.

I love the Lord, my family, traveling, and the great outdoors. I have a long list of hobbies as well! You’ll get to know me more as we go.

I’m a photographer, turned business owner, turned social media strategist. I’ve been in the communication/social media realm my whole career. Starting a business from the ground up truly showed me the power of Social Media. Shooting content for Knoxville businesses has also shown me there is a tremendous need for content creation AND social media management. I’ll be honest with you guys.

🏫 My degree is not in marketing
🤐 I don’t use the latest corporate jargon/buzzwords.
🤝 I believe that face to face is still King.

What I do believe is Social Media has the power to make or break a business. But it has to be the right content, for the right audience, consistently. Just sporadically posting won’t do it. That’s why Smitty Socials was created.
